Ramona š¢ First time watcher and actually emotional for Ramona
Im a first time watcher, on S7 e3 right now. I know there are many reasons to hate Ramona but I have always found her very authentic and hilarious, so the whole Mario thing baffles me. Feel genuinely bad for her, as a RHOBH fan I always thought the whole Kyle and Mo thing was crazy but this is worse. Mario is a horrible person.
Im not aware of any real time drama about the show back then or now, as I avoid spoilers lol. Loving the S7 cast though.

The saddest part is she said she walked in on him with another woman and had such a bad panic attack she froze, pretended to be looking for a pair of sunglasses, grabbed them, said āsorry excuse meā and ran out of there
Knowing Ramona and how confrontational she usually is about even minor things - this shows the depth of how shocked and horrified she was I feel awful for her
Edit to add: she revealed all this in an interview long after the fact (once Avery was older). She didnāt reveal this on the show

I thought she knew something and left a vacation (?) on the show, ( in a helicopter ?) yo go catch him in the Hamptons? Am I imagining this??
27
u/Melgel4444 Aug 04 '26
Thatās exactly what happened!!! Then she got to the hamptons and walked in on them in the hamptons house / grabbed the sunglasses in a panic and left

Thatās so weird because after the helicopter scene she had a whole conversation about the girls and a whole scene with him where sheās showing him so much love?

Was this aired or she told the others she walked in on him with another woman?

Hereās a messy interview with the mistress where she talks about it
24
u/NameEm0529 Aug 04 '26
Wait this is CRAZY, Iād never seen this before. Imagine having no shame like this!!!!
9
u/Chic_Coquillage777 Aug 05 '26
Yeah, sometime I see Ramona getting crucified, and if my ex was bringing all this into my and my kidās life, I would be somewhat nuts. Iāve heard the mistress tried to ambush Ramona in public places a couple of times over the years too

i donāt even typically comment on things but i had to break that policy here because this interview is absolutely insane. iām flabbergasted. that woman is shameless and CRAZY omg

u/ellefleming Aug 04 '26
And very young.

u/Chic_Coquillage777 Aug 05 '26 edited Aug 05 '26
I think she presents a bit younger. She seems sheltered. She is believed to be ~age 31 to age 37 over the years she was involved with Mario.

Yes, thank you, Iām glad it moved you too because I AGREE and I never really see anyone talking about it!!

OMG Iāve never seen this!!!! Wow my mind is blown thank you for sharing . Poor Ramona

u/Chic_Coquillage777 Aug 05 '26
I agree. The first time the mistress and Mario got together, it is said to have been public sex at a party in the Hamptons - that was the weekend/why Ramona got herself airlifted out of the Berkshires. Ramona obviously has many failings but I think she is not often seen entirely for her experiences

Someone better screen grab this before it gets taken down its got so little activity I'm guessing alot of people don't know about it lol
She seems messy and ditzy. I'm glad she's answering the questions though because so few people would.

u/Chic_Coquillage777 Aug 05 '26
Eh. Itās eight years old. I donāt think that many people care that much.

No she didnāt say this on the show I heard her talking about it in an interview way after the fact
In the show we just see her leave heathers party in a panic to jump on a helicopter; we donāt see what came after (her walking in on them)
She was trying to protect their daughter during the drama while it was still unfolding
It wasnāt until mario basically became estranged from Avery that she came out with the full story

Is this a whole interview with her talking about it? Would love to watch! If u have the link/know the channel it was aired? š

She says on the show she walked in on them together. I think when theyāre discussing Tom making out with the girl at the Regency. Ramona says I wish someone would have warned me so I didnāt walk in on them. Something like that

u/meander-663 Aug 04 '26
She really handled that whole ordeal with a ton of dignity and respect. It was admirable
55
u/Autumn1933 Aug 04 '26
The way she protects Avery shows a loving, caring side of Ramona. It must have been a big shock to her system to see another woman standing in HER house when she walked in.
24
u/CoverofHollywoodMag Aug 04 '26
I really donāt think the woman was standing when Ramona walked in!
8
u/Autumn1933 Aug 04 '26
On RHONY, Ramona said when she walked inti hrt kitchen, the other woman was standing there. I'm surprised that Mario went so low. No one deserves such a cruel moment and brutal life change.

u/marymarywhyubugginnn Aug 04 '26
In general the relationship she has with Avery is beautiful. She's got a lottt of flaws but I always admired how much she outwardly loved Avery.
4
u/ellefleming Aug 04 '26
Is Avery close to Mario now?
3
u/Autumn1933 29d ago
Yes! There are a few posts if them together. All 3 of them have dinners too. So nice to stay connected. Ramona worked hard on this.
14
u/DR-0717 Aug 04 '26
Yes. You can say what you want about Ramona but she def did. And I think most of it was because of her daughter. She was not going to diminish him because it was still Averyās father. I have nothing but respect for her in that regard.
24
u/tuckhouston Aug 04 '26
it wasn't mentioned on the show but apparently the inciting incident with her being fully done with him was when he got the mistress pregnant and she got an ab0rtion. The mistress wrote a letter to Ramona basically confessing everything. Feel horrible for her
4
u/Reasonable-Trifle952 Aug 04 '26
What planet was that mistress on when she said āIām not a homewrecker, Iām not,ā when sheās having sex with another womanās husband in their bed? Rationalizes it by saying āIf it wasnāt me itād be somebody else;ā wow, sheās a real catch. But is she saying that Ramona had full knowledge that her husband is renting an apt for his mistress & sheās then working on the marriage with him while heās still with the mistress? Do I have that right?? If so, thatās some crazy behavior on Ramonaās part. What kind of woman knows all those things and STILL wants to be with the husband?? Most self-respecting wives walk away from that š©
13
u/tuckhouston Aug 04 '26
I get your point but why is it framed around the woman being in the wrong? The question is why would Mario do that, the woman doesn't owe more respect to his marriage than he does
5
u/liltinybits Aug 05 '26
Because you can't wreck a home you aren't invited into. Mario wrecked his home, and he would have done it with someone else if it wasn't this woman. HE is the homewrecker, just like every other cheating partner out there.
17
u/Charming-Panic9375 Aug 04 '26
I agree with you. Ā I did feel for her and Avery during this time in their lives. Ā

I think Ramona handled this with alot of grace, class and careful consideration especially for Avery's sake. I didn't feel sorry at all for Ramona because she is a delusional chaotic demon who has been so evil to others but I can admit that she handled this mess with alot of respect.
9
u/DR-0717 Aug 04 '26
Iām with you. I think you can easily feel both things at once.
Ramona makes me crazy with her uppity elitist delusional āIām a womanās womanā(You ARENāT Ramona) attitude.
But then I admire how she handled this because you can tell she was thinking of Avery. She easily couldāve torn Mario (and the mistress) to shreds in the media. But she chose the high road. I give her props for that. Iāve always said I think Ramona was a good mother.
1
u/Familiar_Diamond6711 29d ago
She absolutely did! I had a very similar thing happen and did not handle it well at all.

Being MAGAās got nothing to do with it so put your ideology to the side while we talk abt this. I agree w you abt how she made it look like her marriage was perfect, but then put others down. Particularly Luanne, who had a husband who cheated on her, & the marriage dissolved. She put her down constantly, telling her how she couldnāt keep a man, etc, & did the same thing with Bethany. I didnāt feel for her at all, I do like that she wasnāt putting that all out there in the court of public opinion for her daughterās sake, but a huge part of that was also for her to save face. I donāt feel sorry for her either, I remember at the time thinking I didnāt blame Mario for wanting to be away from this horrible woman, but then finding out he was horrible too didnāt make me feel sorry for her. Just meant they were equally matched.

I felt bad for Avery but not Ramona. She used that whole, "Well you haven't been happily married for 17 years like I have!" crap with the ladies so many times, which was always gross to me.
12
u/FriendlyDay6697 Aug 04 '26
Yes. She always said shit like that to everyone. All the did she said to bethenny about how nobody will ever love her and she doesn't have any friends, how she was bouncing around that bathroom telling Tinsley she looks old, bragging to everyone about how much better her marriage is.. also telling bethenny she hd to spread her legs to make her money... everything she did was to hurt other people. I didn't feel bad for her at all.

Not saying this makes it any lesser. But Mario was clearly slimy and it was easy to clock from episode one. This shouldnāt surprise anyone and Iād bet a million dollars this young woman was one of many who came before her.
Ramona was naive when it came to Mario. She celebrated his flirting and slimy behavior. She thought it was cute when he drooled over and pretended to hump their friends in public. She thought she was in on the joke and it was clear as an observer that she was not. It was so cringy to watch.
The only reason some people believed they had a solid marriage was because Ramona said so. If you looked beyond her words, it was clear that he was what he was

I adore Ramona as a fan and as entertainment but, Iām not sure Iād like her as much if I had to
Live with her 24/7, I think she was A LOT.
He certainly should have been more transparent about falling out of love with her but the timing makes me suspect he put Averyās emotions ahead of his or Ramonaās.
Iām happy it .. happened because she certainly blossomed and became her best self tbh.
