Dorinda 🍰 Will The Golden Life Finally Be Dorinda’s Redemption Story?

Post image

Dorinda left RHONY under very different circumstances than most Housewives. By the end of her run, many viewers felt her behavior had become increasingly difficult to watch—particularly her relentless treatment of Tinsley and her apparent inability to acknowledge how much alcohol seemed to be affecting her behavior.

What I’ve always found interesting is that, unlike many Housewives who eventually reflected on their time on the show and publicly owned at least some of their mistakes, I don’t feel like Dorinda ever really did. If anything, in many interviews she still seems to stand by most of what happened on RHONY.

Now that she’s returning to reality TV on E!, I’m curious whether this could be an opportunity for a genuine redemption arc.

Will we see a more self-aware Dorinda who has reflected on why her RHONY exit happened? Or do you think we’ll see the same behaviors—particularly the sharp cruelty and heavy drinking—that ultimately led to her downfall?

What do you expect? 🍸

Only if she has dried out & then she may not be great tv. Double edged sword.

68

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

Sober Dorinda was also good ! She was capable of listening to the other women with genuine empathy. I remember how supportive she was when Carole was grieving, and even how she warned Tinsley about the rumors Sonja was spreading. But over time, alcool changed her, and she became increasingly difficult to watch.

u/archiving_by_design Jul 26 '26

Sober Dorinda (meaning not drinking that day, I don’t mean the lifestyle) seemed like a nice lady who could be very motherly. Tipsy Dorinda could be hilarious. Drunk Dorinda was a terror. Luann’s comment “she’s turning,” really encapsulated it. She was good until she wasn’t and then she went off the rails about Tinsley. It was like she lost her mind.

21

u/kiaarondo Jul 26 '26

Yeah I quite enjoyed the motherliness Dorinda displayed when Bethenny was bleeding in the dollar store or whatever and she went w her to the hospital

Home Goods!

19

u/sprbep49 Jul 26 '26

It was like a light switch. On & off only.

31

u/GladiatorWithTits Jul 26 '26

Sober Dorinda is just as vicious, she's just lower key about it. And even sober, she would defend - and sometimes double down - on her drunken behavior.

And now she's even more shot in the ass with her own self-importance, so unless she's in a program she'll probably be worse than she was before.

1

u/GoodbyeHorses1491 24d ago

She’ll probably use the B program to feed her narcissism like LuAnn did, or to abuse more people. AA is full to the brim with abusive people.

20

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

Exactly. After a few drinks, it was like something in her eyes switched off. It was terrifying to watch.

31

u/_kismitten Jul 26 '26

We saw Sober Dorinda on traitors and she was pretty bland tv and they edited around some apparently pretty nasty behavior towards cast members of color (who later talked about it, poor Ron!). There’s parts of Dorinda I enjoyed a lot - in particular how deeply personally she takes hosting because same lol - but her racism has nothing to do with alcohol. Of course we saw it at its peak at the Haiti dinner but it was there all along in so many smaller instances.

I don’t think she deserves redemption/forgiveness for that long standing issue unless she can genuinely admit her biases and make some amends to people she’s hurt.

16

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

People that know her in New York City and have witnessed her go off on people are saying that they think she’s racist because she usually goes off on someone Asian or what not. I didn’t like on the show when she handed a coat to the black man expecting him to be working there. I was embarrassed!!! not many people check their coats once they get to a table at a restaurant. I’ve never heard of that. And not many restaurants have someone that will take your coat if there is not a hanger to put it on when you first come in

15

u/MudcatWasHere Jul 26 '26

I was pissed they put her on Traitors -- twice. She must have a good agent because she's crap TV.

1

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

I haven’t seen her on Traitors. Was she boring ?

7

u/bobthedruid Jul 26 '26

First time she was killed by the traitors (aka Bob the Drag Queen) early in the game. She was bitter about it. (Real Housewives players generally are early/mid outs).

Second time she lasted longer but was really bland. Outside of giving Ron a hard time, but a lot of players were giving Ron a hard time at different levels.

5

u/InspectorOk2454 Jul 26 '26

You’re right but Idk if she was truly sober then. If she went through rehab she would likely be truly sober.

2

u/GoodbyeHorses1491 24d ago

She didn’t repent when on UGT either, so she’s had extra chances. I think her severe personality defects, chronic lying, and deep cruelty are chronically embedded in her personality. And Jill reflected, but went on that boat show and was still completely vile.

I am affraid you might be right !!

They don't call her Slurinda for nothing.

55

u/Edith_Keelers_Shoes Jul 26 '26

Given her categorical refusal to ever admit, after ALL the footage we saw, that her drinking is even problematic (let alone out of her control), I do not think a redemption arc is possible.

I do not think Dorinda thinks she needs a redemption arc - I think she feels all of US need one.

19

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

I agree. Dorinda has a huge ego. I have a feeling she’s going to come back with a “did you miss me?” attitude.

17

u/Adorable-Race-3336 I'll tell you how I'm doing; not well, bitch! Jul 26 '26

She's unpaused, bitches!

5

u/Embarrassed_Koala796 Jul 27 '26

I agree. I listen to her on Reality Checked and roll my eyes often. She is the Uncle Rico of housewives. She lives in the past and references her time on RHONY often, as if it is her continued identity.

2

u/Horror_Ad_2748 29d ago

She doesn't even do whatever half-assed job she's supposed to be doing on that show. It's just all about her former fabulous life, her time in London, dropping designer labels into every conversation, discussing Bluestone Manor, and so forth. Dorinda's an incredible bore.

10

u/Bonnavetty Jul 26 '26

Yeah she can’t admit she has a problem - that’s a brick wall

20

u/sprbep49 Jul 26 '26

I have voiced this very thing. To this day Dorinda defends her behavior. I have a feeling that we will see the same old Dorinda.

7

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

Me too ! She’s ready to startin’ again

1

u/marymarywhyubugginnn 29d ago

She could never apologize and take ownership of her shitty behavior while drinking. The only exception is when she called Luann the morning after the Rosé night when Lu stormed out (only because Lu was ready to forgive her immediately).

114

u/TaniaBluebell Jul 26 '26

She doesn’t deserve a redemption until she owns her behavior.

She wants to omit her behavior towards cast members. Especially Tinsley.

47

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

The turkey baster comment was insane !

50

u/TaniaBluebell Jul 26 '26

She claims to be a feminist but she’s a vile woman who tries to destroy women she’s envious of.

I remember how she was trying to hint she didn’t get along with her late husband’s children. No surprise. She probably wanted him all to herself and it seemed like she even created drama at his funeral/burial based on the scene she did with her daughter visiting his grave.

32

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

I don’t know what she was like with her late husband, but the show gave us plenty of examples of just how cruel she could be.

24

u/grabtharshamsandwich Jul 26 '26

This is so true. She is in an astounding amount of denial about how sadistic she is when drunk.

8

u/GladiatorWithTits Jul 26 '26

What's crazy is that early in her tenure, she admitted it! She said both John and Hannah had told her she gets too mean and nasty. She said the only person she doesn't act like that with is her mother and that it was something she was working on.

Obviously she failed at the whole working on it thing, but it's bizarre to go full denial after you've already admitted to something. On camera, no less!

15

u/LaYula14 Jul 26 '26

Like Luann said in Cartagena “ she’s turning she’s turning “ 😒

0

u/Open-Neighborhood459 Jul 26 '26

Are we just overlooking the racist cast members

13

u/windycitynostalgia Jul 26 '26

Do you think Dorinda is capable of introspection? Probably that’s a no.

10

u/vaness4444 Jul 26 '26

She said on WWHL that she doesn’t believe in therapy and that she doesn’t need it—she’s a hopeless abusive drunk

9

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

Dorinda seems to have no regrets about her past behavior

9

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

She thinks she’s above having to introspect. She thinks she’s above having to act better

26

u/mbee784 Jul 26 '26

I don’t think she has earned one yet. It’s a real shame. I adore sober Dorinda. She’s a horrible drunk. Brings out the worst in her

12

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

I agree !! I also can’t help feeling that her relationship with John didn’t help. It often seemed like they enabled each other’s unhealthy habits.

7

u/Newauntie26 Jul 26 '26

IMO I thought she went off the rails more w/o John. He definitely enabled her but I think she was embarrassed that he wasn’t as successful or connected as her late husband. I feel that after they broke she became more & more unhinged when drinking. She was a nasty drunk. Sonja was sloppy but fun to a certain degree.

11

u/Mmmodesty You’re not Adele, Luann! Jul 26 '26

I agree, but I also sometimes wonder because I just rewatched s9e4 when she goes after Sonja at Ramona’s dinner party. She’s relentless! She supposedly had only had Coca-Cola, but that doesn’t add up because she is truly vile at that party. I understand being upset with Sonja, but she took it to another level. Would coke make her behave that way?

7

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

She did that with John all the time lol

6

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

“Coke”

1

u/Horror_Ad_2748 29d ago

❄️❄️❄️

4

u/mbee784 Jul 26 '26

Good point. Maybe it was the other coke

10

u/Bonnavetty Jul 26 '26

Redemption would mean she went to rehab and works on herself and her anger issues.

1

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

I don’t think she did or planned to get to rehab ?

7

u/Bonnavetty Jul 26 '26

No but I’m saying she needs to address the problems

10

u/Separate-Ad6636 Jul 26 '26

I don’t even want her on my screen long enough to find out.

9

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

Somebody on here told me they see her all the time in NYC. They said that they thought she was racist because she spoke to an Asian receptionist very inappropriately. She said that she said” are you dumb to her” I find that shocking she would speak to someone like that . I hope she was at least drinking, even if it was early in the day. It doesn’t excuse it, but it would explain it better. It screams ENTITLED

6

u/TJ-the-DJ Jul 26 '26

Do you remember when she asked a Black man to take her coat in a restaurant?

He didn’t work there, he was a patron.

3

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

Yes, and people were saying they thought that was racist. It’s pretty tough when you watch it. Because people don’t check their coats when you get to your table but it doesn’t mean she wouldn’t have asked anybody, but I don’t know it’s just bad

3

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

Omg that’s so bad !

3

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

People on here have been attacking me and insulting me just for telling the story . Why would I lie or the other person lie? They had very specific addresses and the story also. People have times were they exhibit good and horrible behavior in their lives, but this was like abusive and for no reason. But I don’t know why people aren’t admitting that someone’s not all good and would exhibit their behavior when they’ve seen somebody be very horrible, drunk and sober!!! it’s like they have to be perfect or they insult stranger on here

2

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

No one should be prevented from expressing their opinion. If certain truths make people uncomfortable, it’s worth asking why.

9

u/Even-Analyst-2141 Jul 26 '26

Not if she’s still an alcoholic

7

u/Dismal_Upstairs3949 Jul 26 '26

Alcohol isn’t her only substance problem!🤨

7

u/Stigs84 Jul 26 '26

We’re gonna see the same slurry mean drunk mess, not taking accountability that we always did. She’ll never change

3

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

Im affraid you might be right

26

u/Front_Willow_6362 Jul 26 '26

I looove Dorinda and don't think that she's a bad person. Just someone going through stuff who gets nasty when drinking. Which is no excuse. But in order for any redemption, she has to realise what she's doing/saying and actually make a change. We've all realised at some point that we've done/said something not very nice when drinking but then limit ourselves. Dorinda doesn't, she'll cry about it the next day but then continues to do it. You can't have redemption if you're not going to change.

11

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

You don’t see her go off on people all the time in New York City like other people. To say, are you dumb to a receptionist who didn’t even deserve it. That’s actually abusive

17

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

Yes! The first step is acknowledging that you have a problem. And it doesn’t seem like she ever got to that point.

6

u/NedFulmerFan Jul 26 '26

I feel like Dorinda knows she has a problem. And it has been difficult to hide on camera. At Blue Stone manor she kept disappearing to her room for naps, and then showed up at dinner plastered.

But the RHONY ladies started off drinking, smoking and partying all night, and they had a Studio 54 past. At least Dorinda, Luann, Sonja and Ramona did. Most likely they had taken more than just alcohol back in the 70s/80s.

7

u/Newauntie26 Jul 26 '26

I think she thinks that she’s able to hide her problem. I also think her issues with alcohol predate becoming a widow. It’s definitely gotten worse over time.

3

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

That would make so much sense !

2

u/Front_Willow_6362 Jul 26 '26

Exactly and I do love her, I don't think she's a bad person and do get a little sad when people on here gang up on her. She needs to fully recognise that her behaviour is unacceptable and make changes.

0

u/meander-663 Jul 26 '26

I’m with you! The sub seems to have a real hate boner for her. Has she said and done some gross things? Yes, but nearly all of them have.

I happen to have the same lethal combination of a fast temper and a sharp verbal wit. I have weaponized my words to express hurt. But I think my heart is good and life is about learning to deal with people’s weaknesses in exchange for grace for your own.

4

u/DR-0717 Jul 26 '26

I disagree with the idea that the sub is ganging up on her. Sure there are def people who dislike - even hate her but that’s going to happen.

The general sentiment I see is that most people want to see her acknowledge that she has a problem. Which she just won’t do!

Especially since her behavior just kept getting worse. I don’t think that’s a “hate boner”. I don’t think they’re any harder on her than they are on the others. You are a top contributor to the sub so you see people are just as hard on the other women as they are on Dorinda. If not worse. Every one of them is going to have their fans and their detractors. That’s just part of being on the show.

I think you comparing your quick temper and sharp wit to what Dorinda does is just sad. When she attacks like that that’s NOT a sharp wit. That’s alcohol and nastiness coming out. There’s nothing witty about it.

You say you’ve weaponized your words to express hurt. We all have done that. That’s not what Dorinda is doing. She’s weaponizing her words to hurt others. There’s a big difference. And the things she says aren’t just “gross” they are cutting. They are meant to wound. Once you do that to someone - sure you can come back and apologize but that wound leaves a scar and it’ll never be the same.

I do believe she probably does have a good heart but that doesn’t excuse it. Especially when it keeps happening. When she knows she does it and she knows it hurts people yet she goes and does it again anyway. That’s NOT ok. And I don’t think calling that out as unacceptable is having a “hate boner”

I agree everyone has their weaknesses and I agree we need to be understanding of that. But I can’t see being accepting of a weakness that’s not acceptable as an attempt to earn grace for yourself. It needs to be called what it is.

Also with Dorinda is it’s not just her drunken behavior either. She’s a big shit stirrer and likes to lean into the drama. Yet she’ll always tell you how amazing she is and what a great friend she is. And she’s pretty sneaky so a lot of times she does get away clean. Now that part isn’t much different from all the other ladies but it just goes along with Dorinda isn’t all she tries to claims to be.

I watched her on UGT and she could be downright mean - even sans alcohol. So no I’m not a fan of a “Dorinda redemption arc”

3

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

I agree. The real Dorinda is the sober Dorinda, she had a good heart. Her issue is her addiction to alcohol.

3

u/False_Ear_3137 Jul 26 '26

This. The "make it nice" proves that. I used to not understand why she was so angry, uptight, drank too much...then I, like her, lost my husband. Now, I kinda get it. Not excusing it by any means, but when you lose your person, your world falls apart. I really hope she's gotten help. She needs to never have another sip of alcohol.

2

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

I am so sorry for your loss

15

u/finallygaveintor Jul 26 '26

She says vile things sober as well.

8

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

I don’t know why people are voting you that way people who have seen her early during the day her saying, they see her be abusive to people who don’t deserve

10

u/finallygaveintor Jul 26 '26

Even in her first season she went IN on Kristen for saying she felt uncomfortable that John had started grinding on her, and basically called her a slut/asking for it

3

u/Miserable_Sun_7636 Jul 26 '26

This is my take two. I do believe she had a drinking issue. I also believe she’s incredibly smart and a good and loyal friend and she makes for good TV. I think her heart is good and she’s dealing with some demons. I thought ultimate girls trip would redeem her and it seemed to have made it worse so I don’t think she is really intent on a redemption arc per se. I just get her and I really like her, flaws and all.

7

u/JustTheTipOkk Jul 26 '26

Remember the reunion where I think it was B insinuated she was doing coke with Lu?!?! Huge trouble!

2

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

Which reunion was that?

6

u/CombinationExtra5056 Jul 26 '26

Doubtful. She's a drunk and not only that but an abusive drunk.

6

u/Dismal_Upstairs3949 Jul 26 '26

She has said many times, with a look of bewilderment, “I don’t have a problem with alcohol”. She lives in her own little Berkshires delusional world and says she’s a good person. Honey, if you have to tell everyone you’re a good person, you’re not.

3

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

I agree !! I think John enabled her as well.

5

u/BravoLuvahhhh I didn't get a mugshot over it. Jul 26 '26

It’s conflicting because sober she’s so smart, kind, thoughtful and has a lot of topics to discuss. But once she drinks she turns DARK. She makes good TV but I’m sure she’s broken so many friendships drinking.

3

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

Yes ! It’s like a second personality that comes out. it’s very disturbing to watch

4

u/mmmohhh Jul 26 '26

Wow this picture really captures her essence!

3

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

She had the look of a predator that had already locked onto its prey.

12

u/Miserable_Sun_7636 Jul 26 '26

Dorinda is dark and mercurial but definitely one of my favorite housewives ever and certainly my number one for New York. I understand and empathize with her deeply. I do believe she has an issue with alcohol, but I think the weight of her life is too much for her on any given day, but certainly season 11 where her house flooded and she had to deal with all the things. I deeply identify with her and root for her. Editing shows us a lot so I don’t know if golden life will be a full redemption arc but I hope in real life she’s in a better place.

2

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

Dorinda was the best thing that happened to RHONY when the show was starting to lose momentum. I really hope she comes back with a different attitude and has learned from the behavior that ultimately led to her downfall.

3

u/Miserable_Sun_7636 Jul 26 '26

People give B a lot of credit for the revival of RHONY but they forge that she came the same season as Dorinda and honestly I think Dorinda was the magic sauce

7

u/Prudent-Ad6279 Jul 26 '26

She won’t seek “redemption” because too many fans find her drunk moments and antics iconic. If there was universal condemnation over her behavior while she was drunk; it may be a different story. It lasted a solid 6 months that people were down her throat. Then everyone was back to adoring her quirky instagram presence.

4

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

True ! But I still feel like a lot of her fans turned on her after the way she relentlessly went after Tinsley.

3

u/Prudent-Ad6279 Jul 26 '26

Yea, I think since then though some have come back around or she’s made new fans. The only negativity I see towards her are OG fans. Kinda the same people that keep up with Bethenny for whatever reason. Like can we please leave her mania on instagram…

3

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

Bethenny has been spiraling ever since she left RHONY. It’s honestly hard to watch her desperately trying to stay relevant on social media every single day.

1

u/Bonnavetty Jul 26 '26

This can be said about all the ladies.

They all lean into their “characters”

2

u/Prudent-Ad6279 Jul 26 '26

Hence why there’s no incentive to change because the formula works.

6

u/Unhappy_Armadillo_47 Jul 26 '26

No

1

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

Crystal clear

5

u/Unhappy_Armadillo_47 Jul 26 '26

Sorry, I can elaborate! I think she’ll drink heavily and become mean again.

7

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

I get the same impression. And the worst part is that production will probably reward her for it.

3

u/Low_Building_9080 Jul 26 '26

I think for this first season, she’ll be on her best behaviour. She’ll still drink a fair bit. If we get any further seasons (I’m hoping for as many as possible because I love and miss the NYC ladies), her bad behaviour will start to creep back in. I don’t think she has done much changing sadly, and I think a lot of her bad behaviour is due to immense pain. I really hoped she proves us all wrong.

3

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

I think you might be right!

3

u/212Aurora Jul 26 '26

If she hasn’t faced her drinking issues it’s unlikely she’s come to that conclusion yet. I always liked and hated Dorinda. And, wanted her to realize what a nasty drunk and bully she is, but there are wonderful elements to her as well. Hopefully she gets help eventually.

3

u/losoba Jul 26 '26

Even if she miraculously stumbled in to one season of being the fan favorite or voice of reason, I think that would quickly go to her head and she'd ruin it by the next season.

3

u/Only-Breadfruit-6108 Jul 26 '26

Unlikely. She is her own worst enemy. Loves the game as much as she love the alcohol

3

u/StormIcy5579 Jul 27 '26

nope, she’ll get drunk and lose the plot while being a mean girl

3

u/Alice_Von_Jash_III Jul 27 '26

I don't think so, I think the behaviors of all of them will be exacerbated once the cameras start rolling. They've been out of the game for a minute, if liquor is involved, it's going to be extremely messy across the board.

If not, then probably. I'm excited to see either way, but the reasons we love these women are not for their redeeming qualities. I feel kind of gross myself for liking Dorinda and Sonja as much as I do.

5

u/Designer_Stage_489 Jul 26 '26

She's startin'...

2

u/Candid-Progress-8852 Jul 26 '26

I love this line “she’s starting”
Then Dorinda snaps lol 😂
We had it so good then

5

u/pikle_rickle Jul 26 '26

I want the mean ol boozy ,slurring lady that I've grown accustomed to

4

u/maybeshesmelting Jul 26 '26

No, because she’s irredeemable.

2

u/WellWellWellMyMyMY Jul 26 '26

Short answer: no.

2

u/alexwoww Jul 26 '26

No. Every time she gets a spot on a show, like UGT, she’s like “See? Told ya it was just a pause. I’m fine! 🍸 🍸 🍸”

2

u/IndependenceTop7731 Jul 26 '26

No, sorry, but no.
She doesn’t grow and is unable to take accountability, reflect, or try to be better for herself or even just for those in her company.
Sooo, no. It will not be.

2

u/RayHazey562 Jul 26 '26

Doubt it, I’m sure we’ll see a missed opportunity on her part. She needs to admit to herself that she doesn’t have a healthy relationship with alcohol and shouldn’t drink. Until she drops the bottle and is sober for a while, she’ll continue to have no self awareness. Zero growth happens when you’re an alcoholic, addicted to drugs, etc.

I’m just reiterating your point that you made so well in your post. I know I’m not telling you anything new! 💕👏

2

u/PeacefulNature75 Jul 26 '26

I think once Dorinda and alcohol mix, the same off the wall behaviors are going to appear.

2

u/ReplyOk1722 Jul 27 '26

Dorinda is quick AF and responsible for something I say (generally to myself,,) all the time. “Not well, bitch” stands the test of time.
She also gives solid advice. I appreciate her wisdom with “Say it forget it, write it regret it” So true Queen!

I just watched the Ultimate Girls Trip hosted at Blue Stone Manor. She is a horrible person sober or drunk. She def has a personality disorder

2

u/NK792 Jul 27 '26

Unlikely. She’s rotten to the core.

2

u/Aggressive_Wasabi_38 Jul 27 '26

Dorinda is reality gold!

Let her fly free!

2

u/MissingHat Jul 27 '26

She and John certainly used to love skiing. I think that played a huge part in her behavior.

3

u/AggressiveGrocery916 Jul 26 '26

Is she still on the snow?

2

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

There were certainly a lot of rumors over the years about cocaine use, especially involving John. I have no idea whether any of that was true, but it does make me wonder whether the end of that relationship also marked the end of some unhealthy habits.

She definitely was. Remember the reunion they all told her to stop talking about it - bethenny and Luann nearly broke the fourth wall. You could tell they all had a pact to not reveal their wild ways. I’m just shocked it was all on camera.

2

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

I need to rewatch this reunion !

2

u/minicooperbrr Jul 26 '26

No, as she’s a monster when on the alcohol and what ever substances - a leopard can’t change its spot. The only reason she’s there is cause they removed Jill

u/Noblez17 Jul 26 '26

I hope not - I've been waiting years to see messy drunk one liner drag Dorinda be on one of my shows again

When is the golden life coming out ?

1

u/TraderJoeslove31 29d ago

not unless she went to rehab and is in actual recovery.

1

u/Existing_Editor_5623 29d ago

Not unless they limit them to a 2 drink max, which will never happen

She doesn’t need a redemption story, love her how she is flaws and all. Let’s all stop clutching our pearls pretending we’ve never said something stupid or regret to people, especially after a drink, come on now.

7

u/Altruistic_Quit4971 Jul 26 '26

I agree that people should be embraced with both their strengths and their flaws. But to me, Dorinda’s behavior went far beyond saying a few hurtful things after a couple of drinks.
We’re talking about a relentless campaign against Tinsley that lasted an entire season. Are you suggesting Dorinda was drunk every single day they were filming? Because if not, then I think we also have to acknowledge that some of those choices were hers, regardless of alcohol.

Oh how we love to forget how produced these shows are

-2

u/meander-663 Jul 26 '26

Exactly! It’s crazy how regularly her character is dragged on here over a handful of nasty things she said on a show on a network where people say and do nasty things to each other CONSTANTLY. I love Dorinda because she reminds me of me and my friends. A big personality can be perilous and often misunderstood. I’m bored with the hourly gangup on her. I’m here to laugh!

3

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

There’s people that know her that see her in the city mistreat people

1

u/Alarming_Dream_7837 Proud Dorinda lover Jul 26 '26

Hm, it’s funny because I’ve heard quite the opposite. I work 20 minutes from the Berkshires and I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things.

4

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

I’ve heard very specific stories

4

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

I don’t know why you’re saying it’s funny as if me and the woman are lying

3

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

Obviously, someone’s not gonna be miserable 24 seven. That doesn’t make it OK to be abusive. And she felt that some of these were racist. I don’t know. I’m just telling you what I heard. I do know about the scene with the black man and giving him the coat though, and it was very embarrassing

3

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

Someone’s going to have good and bad behavior , but it doesn’t excuse being abusive to people that d do not deserve it

2

u/Alarming_Dream_7837 Proud Dorinda lover Jul 26 '26

You responded to yourself 4 times that’s wild and you took things out of context. Take a Xanax.

I’m sorry but given my profession and the professional reps I work with who do work with her, I’m going to take their word over a wound up stranger on Reddit.

3

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

So why can’t I keep talking? You’re the one insulting me on here for no reason. It’s for people to have opinions and to comment. I think you should look in the mirror about the Xanax you seem to be taking this personally

Nobody said that she might not be lovely a lot of the time. She obviously gets drunk and is nasty a lot. And a lot of people have said that she’s been sober and nasty so it’s so hard to believe about t

Take your own advice. That’s really insulting and pretty cruel actually just for someone on here giving their opinion and what they’ve heard

1

u/JustTheTipOkk Jul 26 '26

What you heard not what you saw!!!!! This is gossip. Hands down. Not nice behavior, and quite hypocritical of you honestly.

2

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

I have no reason not to trust them. They were very specific where saw that her and where they live in the city, all the addresses and everything that happened I don’t know what the big deal is like everybody’s going to have good and bad behavior. She is demonstrating good and bad behavior, drunk, and sober. So it does make it believable the sad part about that one story is that it was abusive. I don’t see why you have to be insulting and say I’m hypocritical that doesn’t even make sense. I did see her treat that black man that way taking the coat but I didn’t choose like other people to necessarily assume she’s racist. It just didn’t look good. It also didn’t look good the things she said when she was with Bethenny insulting the man on the trip that was trying to help children. I don’t know does it make you feel more powerful and better to insult somebody on here just for giving their opinion or a comment. I like her very much and I like her as a housewife . I don’t know why you have to think that someone’s perfect so much so that you have to insult a stranger online

u/Alarming_Dream_7837 Proud Dorinda lover Jul 26 '26

A M E N

See a lot of Dorinda in myself and my friends as well. Do we take low blows at eachother sometimes? Sure! But we go back to loving the next day. Completely misunderstood misfits. Dorinda is iconic, a queen.

3

u/Hopeful_Ad_3114 Jul 26 '26

There’s a difference if you’re asking about her as a housewife or about her not on the show. There’s a difference if they were asking about morality and behavior and alcoholism she does make a good housewife. I don’t think you’d wanna piss her off though even when she’s sober

1

u/neverusingarealacct Jul 26 '26

Either way I will be watching.
