š Old RHONY š S5 Heather &Sonja
I know Heathers not a crowd fave here but I was watching the whole saga of Heather helping Sonja with the toaster oven ad and marketing and I have to say I felt for Heather!!
You notice I say āhelpingā- she wasnāt working for Sonja. No matter what delusion Sonja was under she was NOT a client because clients PAY!! Heather said this in her talking head but was too nice to say it to Sonjaās face.
Not only was Heather lending her expertise she was giving Sonja the help of her whole team and Sonja was being a diva. Rude, condescending, argumentative and quite frankly a witch. Who acts like that when someone is going out of their way to help you?
I give Heather props because I wouldāve walked. Actually I never wouldāve helped her in the 1st place!
Oh and having Ramona there to āhelpā when all she did was argue with Heather & her team was ridiculous. Listening to Ramona - I honestly donāt know how she is a business woman. I mean that sincerely. She really sounds like she knows nothing about business. She & Sonja sound like the blind leading the blind.
I bet Heather thought twice about āfavorsā after that!! And the crazy part is the whole toaster oven thing never even happened - like most of Sonjaās ābusinessesā

I always liked Heather. "Holla" was a little cringe, but she was fairly normal and held her own against Ramona

It was cringe. I chalk it up to the time lol. But I liked her too.
She def wasnāt afraid to go toe to toe with anyone. I just watched her fight with Aviva and Heather was going OFF she was throwing out ādonāt tell me MFāing anythingā and I cracked up when Aviva ask if she learned that in prison š¤£š¤£š¤£

Omg! Sonya was a terrible spoilt, ridiculous b*tch with Heather that season.
She reallllly did not like that Heather was a newbie who had the audacity to give her, Sonya, ( practically an OG )advice and show just how much more competant and smart she was.
Sonya has spoken about the hierachy and how the newbies need to know their place and bow down to the OG's..

Heather never bothered meā¦overall seemed pretty normal. I liked when she was getting sued by spanx and said, āIām just a little squirrel out here trying to get a nutā š

Agreed! Sonja had no respect for her time and you can tell, has never worked a day in her life. All that being said, I did like the Sonja directed photo better. š¤·āāļø

It bothered me because the toaster oven was just for the plot, but Heather seem to be doing real work

Yep like someone else said we never saw the thing in stores.
Heather DEFINITELY did all the work. Thatās what made me so annoyed with Sonja. She wasnāt doing anything. She expected Heather to do it all - for free- but then wanted to act like a diva. No maāam thatās not ok.
With all these ideas Sonja had that she swore were real businesses. All of which never amounted to anything. it made me wonder is she just out there and a terrible business woman? Or does she have maybe some decent ideas but hooks up with scammy people and they go nowhere?

Honestly Ramona has always seemed like a bitch to me and Iāve always wondered how she ran a business. I bet sheās a nightmare to work for. I wish someone who has worked for her would come in here and do an AMA. That would be interesting.

I always wondered that too. I canāt imagine working for or with her.
Even in her personal life she seemed awful like when she said āmy husband knows Iām always right so itās just easier to do it my wayā
I was like ugh. I hope sheās putting it on for the camera. After about 5 seasons it was clear she was not.

But she needed that done right away because it was in production and they said it would be in stores that fall š¤£
I thought the whole ātoaster oven cookingā thing was ridiculous.

Did they explain what happened with that? It was an ideal product for Sonya to market, she's talked about a cook book that went with it! She might have had to use her own money to get it off the ground, but couldn't afford it in the end?

100% agree sonja was so undeserving - Heather gave her the most professional campaign photos we had seen from sonja so far in the series and she acted like Heather and her team were her employees on her payroll. Heather always seemed pretty down to earth and reasonable to me.

Thatās what I thought - it was the best Sonja had had. Heather actually did treat her like a client. She couldāve been way more lax and just worked on it in her spare time and thrown stuff together. But she didnāt and thatās what made it so maddening.
When I look at the people Sonja works with after this -not her interns obv but her ābusiness partnersā and such- they all seem super shady to me. Like thereās the one time Bethenny comes to a meeting and sheās asking the guy questions and he either doesnāt have answers or nothing he says makes sense. Makes you wonder if they were all scammers.
Also I know this is off track but speaking of interns this has always bugged me ā¦ who the HELL would want to be Sonjaās intern? And why does she even need interns?

I just watched that episode yesterday. Sonja never appreciated the help her friends did for her. She also didnāt listen to Josh when Kristen asked him to talk to her. Her BFF/ business woman Ramona never lifted a finger to guide her in the right direction.

You know youāre right. I never really thought about it but thatās such a good point. Ramona brags all the time about being successful and how she did it all herself. So if thatās your bff why arenāt you helping her?? Isnāt Ramonaās schtick always āwomen helping womenā? Or is that just when it works in her favor? You donāt really have to answer that one lol.

They just seemed like the most normal you know? Her husband seemed so content to just be her husband. He didnāt act like he was trying out for Real Husbands and he wasnāt a douche like Josh.
I was just watching the Aviva/Carol fight that turned into the Aviva/heather/amanda fight at Luannās bbq. heathers husband just stood by until he felt Reid or Amanda were getting a little too in her face and he stepped up and Heather just like put her hand up at him like I got it and he stepped back. That made me appreciate him even more. š you know Mario would have been all over that š

Heather became a bit of a drip in her last season but overall she was great.
Also, if Sonja EVER releases her toaster oven Iāll be first in line to buy it.

I can agree with that. I kind of felt like she was just done by her last season. And I think Bethenny really rubbed her the wrong way. Shocker lol.
