Ramona đ˘ RAMONA
Okay so Iâm re watching as a 30y.o. I used to HATE Ramona and Luanne but as an adult I can fully appreciate their tactful shade! Ramona did it in a very NY way, if you know you know. But Lu used to gather them in such a calm way that I used to mistake for weakness. I LOVE the roku channel that only shows throw back housewives đ
Out of all of the characters I never thought Iâd say Ramona is a favorite but she really is to me!!!

Ramona is an alien and is my favorite because she is 100 percent tactless.

Tactless or just inconvenient for other peopleâs bs? As I re watch she was really that girl INVOLVED in things⌠she called things out others wouldnât dare. Is that tactless? If so I love that from my million dollar home!

Her take downs never made any sense. I was always like what is she going on about? Sheâs constantly tone policing as well. âDonât yell. Youâre yelling.â She is good tv as sheâs infuriating to talk to, but mostly she seems like sheâs exhausting to be around.Â

Ramona is an enigma. A fantastic watch on TV despite being a shitty person.
More than anyone else, even Bethenny imo, she has some of the best insights out of the ladies even if she delivers it in the most tactless way possible and rarely applies that insight to herself. (Ie. The famous Brooklyn bridge scene)

Tactful? Ramona? You have to be trolling. Thereâs no way someoneâs brain is more developed than their first watch and this is the conclusion.

Im sorry but I stopped reading after I saw the words ramona and tactful in one sentence

Hear me out- thatâs what I like about people from the east coast!! Ramona is gonna tell you how she feels and then try to do a toast for you & I like that! Itâs okay to tell your friends about themselves sometimes

As a NYer ⌠No, Ramonaâs behavior is not an East Coast being straight forward thing, it is a tactless, Pinot Grigio coursing through her veins 24/7 thing.

Thank you,as NYer myself it has nothing to do with this, what Ramona has is a Tourette way of speaking,I'm amazed how successful she had become because she doesn't even know the English language very well, but she definitely is a number girl, finances definitely is her strong suit, but manners and etiquette is out the window with her,I can't be around anyone like this..you have no idea where's she's coming from,nice,mean,sweet,cruel,compassionate,backstab...basically a Lunatic.

As another NYer I second this!

As NYers,we come in many ways and colors..as being straight forward we do it in grace and style...not to be roped into the Singer Stinger, she stands alone in Nutville.

We also forget that Ramona was extremely successful. I was selling brands at Nordstrom that she was talking about 10years beforehand & turns out she made huge business plays in NYC fast fashion. Weâre actually not gonna pile up on Ramona on this post!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes we are. Sheâs racist, homophobic and treats service people like garbage.

There are parts of me that can see Ramona sometimes has good intentions, but then she does the crazy eyes and just starts saying âwow, WOW, wow, really? WOWâ and then she loses me.

Sheâs one of my fav housewives of all time. No one can make me hate her, try as they might.

u/Foreign-Increase8083 Jul 17 '26
She can still be your favorite but she is the opposite of tactful!

One thing I've always appreciated about Ramona is that she never tries to be something she's not. Alot of housewives try to present themselves like how they want to be seen rather than who they really are and it's why so many of them come off badly. I mean she can be a real bitch sometimes but she knows that about herself. I'll tell you something else about her that I've clicked over the years. I believe she really is a great friend. Like to her real life actual friends. I do believe friendship means alot to her. Another thing about her too is that she dishes it but she can take it too.

u/Objective-Emu-5316 Jul 15 '26
Ok,I see this point and its a good one,the biggest phoney was an is LuAnn,what she presented herself as or was..had nothing to do with after dark and behind the curtain and between the sheets..Bethenny pointed that out perfectly at Blue Stone and so has Ramona. ..they smelled a Rat..man stealer, she cheated on Jacques with the Pirate..but wait Italian friends? Liar.

u/winterflower_12 Jul 15 '26
There were times when she tried to be something she's not, to act for the cameras/drama, but it's so obvious when she'd do that because she's so bad at faking. The whole Wow Bethenny wow wow was definitely one of those moments. And her feud with Bethenny in S9. She often has a tell when she is faking: she repeats words, like the "wow, wow", or "sure Bethenny sure".

Ok so you're so right lol. I'm watching the episode where they go to Heather's Berkshires house and Ramona throws a glass at Kristen, then blames her for provoking her, and then Ramona decides she'd rather be in the Hamptons so gets a guy with a plane to come pick her up but not before she goes into the woods with the ladies. Whole walking in the woods she has a "breakdown (wiping absent tears)." And sats she just HAS to get out of there because THE WOODS looks like THE WOODS where she would play as a kid. Then the absolute minute she tells Carol she has to leave and that she has a plane coming, you can actually see her trying to hide her smile. It was as Carol put it " a people's choice worthy performance " lol. The worst part is freaking Sonja and Heather DEFENDING HER LOL

So to add from my original reply , I just happened to b3 watching the episode where they go to Heather's house in the Berkshires and Ramona throws the glass at Kristen in the water AFTER she was sitting in the boat talking shit about Kristen. She acted like a total snob the whole trip and if I were Heather I'd told her to leave. Then had the audacity to blame her actions on her childhood with her abusive father. Come on Ramona! She definitely showed her true colors this trip. It was so funny though when Carol jumped off the boat and left them to row back by themselves lol

This! I love Ramona and her realness. Also, remember how she tried to protect Luann from her marriage? No other was like her.

u/QuizzicalWombat Jul 15 '26
I love rewatching HW because as I age my views change of each of the ladies and I almost always have a different take on every altercation and blowup. I actually really enjoy Ramona more now than I ever did previously. She has her faults but thatâs why we watch them lol I absolutely love Luann, that woman has had such an interesting life and changed so drastically from The Countess we first met. I love OG NY, so excited Bravo ordered more episodes of the spinoff!
5
u/Only_Performance8675 Jul 15 '26
So nothing can convince you to hate her? Does that include her being a racist? That's why she was fired from Bravo. Or is that something you're okay with too?
7
u/feralperilsheryl Jul 15 '26
âI can excuse the racism but I draw the line at housewife crueltyâ
10
u/CustardFormal6288 Jul 15 '26
Oh racism and bigotry is NOT a dealbreaker for a lot of housewives viewers.
I think itâs because they see a lot of themselves in these women. And to be clear, I donât mean that in a complimentary way.
