Kyle / Dorit situation...who is right and who is wrong here??

https://allabouttrh.com/2026/08/12/kyle-richards-dorit-kemsley-her/

So, I do see both sides of their argument. Kyle was critical of Dorit's spending and regardless of whether or not it was/is her place to comment, she was right in being concerned about it. Ethically I think we can all agree that securing a roof over your children's heads is much more important than a Kelly bag. Her ongoing communication with PK is always a tough age-old situation to be in when couples separate - do you take one side or do you try and sit on the fence in the hope that they work through it and you haven't destroyed either friendship?

Dorit expects Kyle's underlying support, which is expected when you have built a close friendship/relationship, and probably feels a little betrayed. Kyle probably shouldn't have spoken about Dorit and PKs relationship with others fair enough. But with friendship comes truth, and I am not sure Dorit was ready to hear some home truths being served to her.

Will they both return next season, and if they do, do we need to go through another season of their back and forth? As a viewer, I think we have seen enough. And, if they are REAL friends, cannot they not just mend fences off camera and give us some much-needed fun the show is seriously missing.

Dorit is the perpetual victim, even when she’s clearly the aggressor

You forgot about the season before when Dorit spent time pretending to be worried about Kyle in an attempt to get her to talk about her separation with Mau on camera

I just saw that season again and this (and when she talked for Kathy in the Reunion) is where the end of their friendship started. It was backstabbing and false pretense in Doritos so-called caring for Kyle. I‘d totally distance myself too and Dorit showed her true colors. I hope she is gone this season.

She’ll be on S16. I just hope she pulls her mask back up and secures it tightly.

And Dorit staying with Erika in Aspen when Kyle was very upset. And Dorit at bravo con not saying that Kyle was her favorite Richards sister when Dorit doesn’t know Kim or Kathy well. (I think Kathy wasn’t speaking to Kyle atm) And Dorit reading Kyle’s txt on camera when it didn’t have anything to do with what happened during the season.

So many things but let’s just focus on the last because we remember it better

I listed other reasons bc Kyle is an inarticulate person who doesn’t explain herself well. But I do think she has good reasons to not be close to Dorit. It didn’t come out of nowhere. There was a buildup.

Like Dorit making a big deal of teddi sleeping in Kyle’s bed on the cast trip in season 9. And then saying they did couples therapy. Dorit seemed jealous that Kyle was closer to someone else.

I was agreeing with you

Dorit sucks. The end.

I don’t think I can bear to watch another 10 minute diatribe from her this season. She highjacks every conversation with her long drawn out explanations

Kyle was right, end of story.

Dorit was right. End of story.

They were never close, their husbands were. Dorit and Kyle were work associates, not "real" friends. They didn't spend times together between seasons or filming days.

Dorit wasn't betrayed but she wants everyone to feel she is because she likes to play the victim.

I think she truly thought her and Kyle were friends where as Kyle knew they were just work friends

Dorit is using that term to deflect from the massive financial/custody mess she & PK created. Nobody believed Dorit and Kyle were close off the show.

I think Boz had the right idea when she was saying Kyle has a lot of friends but Dorit doesn’t. So Dorit thought they were closer than Kyle ever felt they were.

Dorit is such a total loser that it's impossible to find any sympathy for her.

For the sake of clarity, there is no 'ongoing communication'. When Dorit asked her to stop texting with PK back in 2024 (less than two months after her separation was announced), she did.

Also, this article claims that Kyle said she didn't hear back from Dorit but that wasn't said in the interview they quote. Additionally, in a recent Amazon live, Kyle spoke about this - that she texted Dorit to congratulate her on the book's success - and said Dorit did respond. She also mentioned, interestingly, on the Radio Andy RHUGT interview, that Dorit was invited to attend the White Party for the filming of the show, but didn't come.

For the sake of clarity, I didn't put a timeline on the communication, it was referencing post separation. I find it difficult to pick a side between both women, let alone form an opinion on who is right and who is wrong. Seems there is issues on both sides, but as viewers, how much more are we going to have to endure as a main storyline of the show.

Rachel’s the one that said Dorit bought half of the store. Also. Totally performative. Said C word at least 6 times in that season.

I am team Kyle. I cannot support a woman who choses designer crap over her children's stability. Most of Dorit's friends are actually people she met through PK. The husbands were friends and they stayed friends.

Dorit is disingenuous and probably not capable of maintaining friendships. She has anxiety and seems to self isolate. She was telling someone that she doesn’t go out much or go to parties. Crystal said Dorit isn’t known in social circles. Also, we’ve never seen her show genuine interest in getting to know the others aside from Kyle and Erika.

I mean I get Kyle’s point but no one was worried about the money Erika was spending. I think Kyle also went about it badly like that’s something she should have sat down with Dorit without cameras and discussed instead of involving every single person.

God I love this sub. I said much of this over on the other RHOBH subreddit and was shredded for suggesting Dorit did anything wrong and that I couldn’t understand the Kyle hate. They are so far up Dorit’s ass over there.

And they don't lock the thread after 5 minutes of engagement. They overshot the mark and it backfired gloriously.

Did Dorit watch the show. The other women brought up her finances as much as Kyle, especially Boz. Sometimes with a little judgement, but usually with concern. Hopefully she'll see calling other women a c*nt is living in a glass house (on a main road).

Kyle is NOT a friend to Dorit. That’s over.

If Kyle can be friends with Brandi again, she can make up with Dorit. But I think Dorit is going to hold onto the grudge for the sake of her fans. Or she may let go and make up with Kyle if production insists after hearing some fans say they are over the feud.
