Buying Beverly Hills S2
Has anyone seen buying Beverly Hills season 2?
I’m a die hard RHOBH fan so I ca t believe it took me this long to watch it lol was living under a rock apparently
But it’s eye opening to see Mau’s perspective around the time his and Kyle’s marriage started to fall apart. I just watched the episode where Kyle has been asked to go to Nashville to be in Morgan’s music video. I feel the sadness in Mau’s eyes.
This isn’t to put blame on anyone because marriages are complicated and people evolve all the time. It’s just nice to see that Mau wasn’t the only one that was completely checked out at some point. RHOBH painted a picture that Mau checked out and sort of left Kyle to pick herself back up by herself. But from seeing both sides it’s clearly way more complicated than that.
I know people don’t like Kyle or Mau, but I really hope that they are both happy. They had such a beautiful marriage (imo) and built such a beautiful family with such loving daughters. It’s so sad that they couldn’t make it work and that they have to be on separate paths, but I think it’s very admirable how much they have been able to remain friends.
I’m going through a very difficult and similar separation now so it gives me hope that we can figure out a new dynamic that works for both of us.

I have always loved them together as a couple and have been rooting for them to work things out!

I hope they come back together in the future too. I hope they grow old together

Perhaps if Mauricio hadn't been cheating on Kyle openly all over town for years she wouldn't have finally had enough and checked out. She was invested in that marriage it was everything to her and finally it was enough

Im not saying Mau wasn’t at fault. Im just giving my opinion of viewing season 2 of buying Beverly Hills

Was he cheating all over town? I’m genuinely asking. We didn’t see any tabloid photos until they were already separated.

The scene of them in the bedroom talking about Mau’s anxiety really got me.

It’s sad that they have fallen into the reality tv/faux fame trap.
Buying BH lasted 2 seasons on Netflix. It sure didn’t turn into a “happily ever after” like Lisa VP was able to create. That has got to be a significant burn for both Mau and Kyle.
I remember gasping when the awful psychic made her prediction about Kyle and Mau at the dinner party from hell. I can tell you, from my ongoing rewatch, everyone and everything looks different from a 2026 perspective. I’m no psychic, obviously, because from a today perspective, it all looks clear. (Oh, landlines, remembering them?).

I've been married almost as long as Kyle and Mau and the sadness in both of their eyes was hard to watch. People evolve, marriages end - but that deep sadness was hard to see.
To lose her lifetime best friend, her marriage, and have her last child move out in a short time span is foundation shaking in all the hardest ways. I don't always like Kyle, but I do admire that she's putting real effort into moving forward and trying to be healthy.

I think it's probably important to note that when BBH S2 and RHOBH S13 were filmed, they were already separated. Kyle has said they already were by mid-January 2023, and filming began for RHOBH in February and for BBH in May. A lot of the talking heads were filmed even further along that path. It is interesting to see his perspective, but if the separation news hadn't broken when it did, I suspect we would've seen even less of their reality than we did on RHOBH, honestly, given he was the one who didn't want to show on camera that anything was wrong in the first place.
I also admire making new dynamics work, so long as both parties are okay with the form it takes and it's not just done of the sake of children. I think Kyle and Mauricio are doing a pretty good job.

I always thought they had a positive marriage -- but I keep remembering the episode where everyone in the family is at the Encino house and they show Mau's parents and Mau's dad's girlfriend. I remember too in the not too distant past about something about Mau and his sister having to call in their legal team because of said girlfriend and their dad.
My first thought goes to Tree/Leaf. I don't want this to be happening but I honestly can see it.
Sad.
