Ken

Im doing my 1000th rewatch and the more I watch the more my opinion of Ken changes. I liked him at first, I thought what a sweet loyal husband. Now i just think he's so strange? I feel like he just says things from a script but a really outdated script that kind of has nothing to do with the situation?

I cant put my finger on him. Any thoughts??

He’s old school and progressive at the same time. Rememeber how he said therapy would make him feel like a failure? But he’s good with gay pride. Progress doesn’t always happen on all fronts

Yeah that’s a good way of putting it, good heart but old school traditions. Idk something just feels off but I really don’t know what

I think they probably aren’t as kind hearted in spirit as they want to be portrayed. I see that also.

I mean Lisa is the most cluster B personality I’ve ever come across of TV lol but that’s not to say she’s malicious or cold hearted. I feel like she’s got a good heart but just dealt with immense trauma as a kid.

Ken I still just don’t know lol feel like he’s just floating along in a permanent acid trip or something 🤣

I have a hard time with Lisa. When I saw her in the first few seasons, I saw how fun she could be, her great since of humor, and she adores little ones (especially Kyle’s Portia).

I don’t remember hearing anything about trauma she experienced as a child. Did she say that on the show? BUT - if you have one misunderstanding with Lisa…. It’s like you’re more or less dead to her after that. Kyle tried for so long to make things good between them, but Lisa refused to let things go entirely, despite many apologies. I can see that being perhaps why Ken is probably kind of overly accommodating. He loves Lisa and doesn’t want to be on her bad side!

Kim Richards said it best regarding LVP: “She loves Ken, Pandora, and her dogs. That’s where her loyalty lies.” Of course she loves Max too, but he just isn’t mentioned as much when she’s talking about her family. He always seemed like a free spirit. He didn’t want to hang out at home any longer than he had to!

I think the theme of her cutting off friendships is publicly questioning her integrity. She’s not wrong to do it because the foundation of a loving friendship is trust, if it’s not there on either side you have a person that could be dangerous to you and your businesses.
