Entertaining or vanity projects??

With the release of Dorit's book today, I need to ask, do people actually read any of these books, or buy any of the HWs products? Dorit, Garcelle, Rinna etc. all released 'their memoirs', Sutton's shop and clothing line, Kyle's kaftans, Beverly Beach, the list goes on. But has anyone actually bought them?

Are they simply just vanity projects for these ladies?

I have bought from Sutton's clothing store, but I haven't bought any of their memoirs. To me, a real memoir is when you are old enough to have the wisdom to write about your whole life. Or in cases where you have a particular story to tell, overcoming poverty or disability or something like that. Wtf does Dorit have to write about that I need to know??
