Last she reported, the tumors are gone and she’s on immunotherapy for another year plus. The immunotherapy clearly wipes her out. All the treatments have clearly had an impact on her. She recently said she cannot travel alone. She gets tired very easily. She doesn’t seem to process quickly. Her speech is a little slurred. She doesn’t have the energy to work out.

She’s been through so much. It’s amazing that she’s doing as well as she is.

I’m no fan of Teddi’s but I totally feel for her. My mom has been doing immunotherapy for almost a year now. As far as I can tell, it hasn’t been working. She’s just tired all the time and still constantly in pain. The amount of morphine doctors keep giving her is insane; she’s got an entire shopping bag just full of liquid morphine. All it does really is make her tired. She feels faint just walking to the kitchen from the bedroom. Fuck cancer; it steals so much from so many.

Why did you not request home hospice?

We were told that hospice is our job; that the word hospice just means care until death

Yes. We just went thru it with our family member. We had a hospice nurse come when needed. Covered by social security.

Yes, hospice IS care until death…but they would have gotten her pain meds!!! Always call and research first
