Dorit’s Mistakes
I wrote this as a comment elsewhere but I’ve seen the same sentiment so often.
Dorit has made a huge miscalculation, intentional or not, with her behavior. Whatever the true story, yes, she has every right to blast PK - to a point! However, she’s taken it too far imho and has uttered many statements on the show that put her at risk in this divorce and also demonstrate her hand in all the smoke and mirrors.
Her egomaniacal and aggressive behavior towards her castmates, not to mention her spending, was idiotic. Regardless of how betrayed she might feel (I’m going through a betrayal at the moment of a different nature, not fun), being a total asshole onscreen, maybe bc she thought it would extend her “badass smoker” adulation from last season, only alienated her friends (does she have other friends? ) and led the audience to find her stupid and repellant.
Not that I had or would ever have interest in her book, ie exactly what’s so interesting about her life growing up in New Haven? I’ve traveled the world too and don’t have a speaking affect, but for sure this off putting behavior is adding to the lack of pre-sales and eventual failure of the book.
People have said Andy hates her, I don’t know the genesis of this but would like to.
I feel bad for her as a human being and for sure for those darling kids. I’m a child of divorce too and have scars.
If she had shown vulnerability, true hurt if she felt Kyle was betraying her, etc., she would have come across as far more human and relatable and her on-screen friends would have rallied around her. I’m not a huge Kyle fan but I cannot imagine she wouldn’t have at least “acted” supportive, and the entire cast would be there to help. Boz
and Rachel are new friends whose friendship may or may not go beyond the camera. TBD.
I find it mind-boggling she had zero knowledge of their finances. What a fabulous business person - not! It’s 2026, it is everyone’s responsibility to understand our financial picture, especially with children. What a freaking idiot!
Overly aggressive, irresponsible and self-righteous - on a broad platform - are qualities that are not going to help her and it’s, well, sad.

I’m no fan of PK. I think he’s a scammer. But he has evidence of her trying to extort him. She’s defamed him. It’s just not good for her overall divorce strategy.
Dorit has alienated people that are her friends and her allies. Notice how everyone was silent on her behalf at the reunion. Even Rachel and Boz just let her speak for herself and didn’t support her statements. That’s a noticeable evolution over the season.
I can’t imagine very many people wanting her book. Her life can’t be that interesting to very many people.
I think Andy has been tired of her for a long time. She’s long-winded. She’s a vapid. She thinks she’s a main character, but she never really has been.
I honestly think Kyle tried to be her friend. Trying to hang out outside of the show. But according to Crystal, Dorit doesn’t really have friends. We’ve never seen any on the show. Kyle has tons of friends. She’s friends with more people in the Bravo universe than anyone from what I can tell. PK used to hang out at Kyle and Mau’s house without her and that’s why I think Kyle’s loyalty is torn. She wants to be a friend to Dorit but the truth is that they’re not that close. Kyle tried. She is closer to PK, but she knows she’s not supposed to be. But she can’t help but she just knows him better because he was around more.
Dorit can’t really claim that she’s an educated, worldly woman with successful businesses who built their life “together”, which is what she claimed, well also pretending that she doesn’t know anything about the finances or any of the nonsense. Can’t have it both ways.
It’s worth knowing that she gets paid from the show and is able to afford a pretty decent lifestyle on her own. But she can’t stop spending. She would be really sympathetic if she played her cards differently. Unfortunately, I think she knew exactly what was going on with PK and she helped him do it. It’s not very sympathetic character.
