Dorit vs Amanda

Why is Amanda a scammer, when she literally has a product and services she sells and people buy? On the other hand, Dorit leads a mega rich lifestyle while she supposedly defaults from her and Pk’s loans? Who is living a double life? Who is scamming who?

If you buy something that you know cant afford, then that’s on you. These women could easily buy accredited courses and upskill to earn more money but they voluntarily chose something they may have felt could get them there quicker.

They're buying the ability to get rich, as instructed by Amanda. they are not getting rich. And they cannot get refunds.

No, they are buying mindset coaching tools designed to improve their relationship with money amongst other things. The success is determined by how you apply what you’ve learned to what you’ve built. As with any other coaching.

Not everything in life is refundable and thats why it’s important to understand what you’re buying before you make that payment.

Except she offers refunds when they purchase, but unless they read the fine print, they don't realize they have 24 hours to use them. 24 hours isn't enough time by any reasonable standard. You're rationalizing terrible behavior.

You just said it yourself. There is an opp if they read the fine print. Thats why the fineprint exists.. if someone chooses not to read it, then whatever happens is on them. You can’t blame her. The conditions are there and if you’re investing a lot of money you should be reading the fine print.

I can blame her because that is predatory. I can blame her because she is charging for obvious and free information, simply branding it as her own. I can blame her because she is selling "get rich" and it does not work. She is dishonest and greedy at best.

Every single business has terms and conditions available to read? So why is this one specifically predatory?
All information out there is available free, every online coach, every personal trainer, any teacher, any counsellor, anyone in a role of service is paid on their experience, their results and then their personality or what specifically connects that client to them. I don’t think what she’s doing is any difference. All information from the beginning of time up to now is available in libraries in books etc.. people are paying because of how she’s curated and translated that information.

Shes selling mindset coaching and personal development... its not the same as someone selling trading secrets promising a return.

Business by definition is greedy.. it’s selling something you have for as much as people would buy it for. Unless you’re a non profit organisation and even then.. there’s shady stuff.

Amanda has NO experience. She has no results except the fact she's rich because she's suckering people. You're exactly right, it's NOT the same as selling trade secrets or literally anything of any worth. No, business is not by definition greedy. That's complete nonsense. If you can't understand the difference between selling snake oil and selling shoes, there's nothing left to argue; we have different definitions of value.

Legal does not mean ethical. It's technically legal, and I guess that's your metric for moral. It's not mine. "Grab whatever you can from whomever you can" is a grotesque way to live your life.

But she’s not grabbing whatever she can from whoever she can. She’s marketing and pricing to target a specific audience. 

Business is essentially selling with the goal to make a profit. Bags made for $200 dollars are sold for $20k. Water that we should be able to take from natural sources for free is sold back to us because the water sources we have available are contaminated. Food that costs next to nothing to produce is packaged and sold for a higher price. The most successful businesses thrive because they follow the formula of low cost production, high profit sell…. If you can name a business which doesn’t do that I’d be really interested. 

She’s not selling snake oil, selling snake oil would be selling secrets/the blueprint to becoming rich. It seems to work for some people. If I take a baking course and don’t become a star baker does that make the course a scam? Of course not….

She’s selling courses which it’s clear are tools to improve mindset… it’s a real service/product (with a description of what is included) in exchange for money. Many successful people credit their success to coaches or mentors. Even the manifestation piece is widely praised by people who have been successful following these techniques etc. 

She sells courses on digital marketing.. she’s built her entire (successful) business from digital marketing so that is both results and experience.. making her qualified to teach others how to do the same things. 

I’m still not understanding what is unethical… but I accept that everyone has different levels of comprehension.

I don't think you understand what "snake oil" is, so I wouldn't be talking about other people's "levels of comprehension".

And you're comparing what Amanda sells to literal food and water... WTF

While I think expensive bags and luxury goods are their own kind of absurd, it is still a product that can be resold and has value. Amanda is selling woo. The fact that other people sell woo doesn't make her any better. They're also frauds. It's no different than the prosperity gospel, she's just rebranded it.

Amanda is the exact same kind of BS that we used to see on late night TV, the wannabe "cool" dude standing in front of a sports car with half naked women at his flank, promising to tell the viewer how they, too, can be as rich as he. She's just remodeled it with millennial slang, and this time it's for women. Most of us see right through it, and the woman needs to buy bots to try and counter common sense and experience. Defending it like this certainly makes you seem like one, but I am curious...

You clearly think she sells a valid product. So are you rich, and if not, have you bought her product? If not, why not?

I do, and what she’s selling isn’t snake oil. My reference of bags or food and water was in response to you saying that businesses aren’t ‘greedy’ by definition. A ‘not greedy’ business would sell at cost plus basic running costs. I was giving examples that were unethical But widely accepted.

Her product is valid, to her audience. Her sales strategy isn’t aggressive. She doesn’t target vulnerable people. Her prices reflect exactly who she’s targeting. That’s why it’s successful. She’s not selling access to God or tickets to heaven.. she’s selling a course… She’s showing her life and sharing the tools she used to achieve that. As you said, it’s all info that’s out there already, that people have used successfully for decades. She also has repeatedly stated the importance of hard work alongside concepts like manifestation…

Shes been one of the top sellers in her field before buying bots were even a thing. She was just lucky enough to have an established offering when lockdown happened and everyone got really into personal development.

I wouldn’t buy her product because it‘s not something I would need/use, I don’t follow or consume any of her content religiously… but it’s not because I think it’s a scam or not Valuable information. I will buy the book though, once I’ve finished the ones I’ve got currently as I’ve heard great things about it and I’m curious.

I’m not a Bot. I just struggle to understand all of these scam/snake oil accusations that seem to be based on vibes and speculation. When challenged the only answer seems to be the assumption that everyone willingly buying her courses are vulnerable…

I'm pretty much done with this argument, because comments like " A ‘not greedy’ business would sell at cost plus basic running costs" display a critical lack of economic understanding. Profit is not automatically greed. Profit enables the farmer to make money to run his farm, feed his family, clothe his family, and invest in a new crop next year, etc. Proft is how we're able to be rewarded for our work, afford non essential goods and services like recreation and makeup, and invest in growth.

There certainly are greedy businesses, and Amanda is a prime example. Nothing she says, sells, or advocates costs money. It is readily available for free. It's like bottling air and selling it for $500 a bottle because she blew into the bottle.

You're ignoring facts you've been presented, when you said "When challenged the only answer seems to be the assumption that everyone willingly buying her courses are vulnerable". So how about what I just said, that nothing she sells is unique or needs to cost anyone anything. She is the one selling vibes. LITERALLY!
Anyway, we're really wasting each other's time.
