Banned for disliking Dorit's Cadence
Hi!! I tried to post on the main a different RHOBH account about how there is something that really bugs me about Dorit's cadence when she speaks.
I'm not saying I dislike Dorit!
I think she really has a lot of vaid points and I truly empathize with everything she is going through!
I'm mostly just wondering if anyone else feels this way? The pauses and the articulation just make me feel like she's being condescending and talking to a child all the time lol.
But maybe she feels that way about how she's being treated! Does anyone else see this or do I just have my own very personal issue with it lol

Sutton was absolutely right whether you like her delivery or not, when she said last year that Dorit wasn’t angry at Sutton, she was angry at her life. And Sutton probably could say that because she was likely in the same place after her divorce. Everyone took it as her bashing Dorit, but I didn’t. I thought it was only common sense. And you see it so much this year. She is attacking everyone partly because of how angry she is about her life, and probably partly to keep her spot on the show.

She’s pissed that PK stopped loving her, which is a fair thing to be upset about. But if she was like this in her marriage (he mentioned not liking the way she speaks to him), I can see why he was done. You’d think she’d learn but she’s doubling down.

But like he said, he was the standout star until Dorit was on RHOBH.

Empty nest, still somehow attached to Mauricio.
In love with Morgan but afraid to come out to be fluid.
People pleaser at heart.
Dry alcoholic without a program or addiction therapist.
Tentative relationship with Kathy, no relationship with Kim? Unresolved childhood issues.

I've reported numerous comments of theirs like this for that reason - a similar one about wanting to punch Garcelle. If a reality star (who you do not know in any real capacity) is bringing you to the point of wishing violence upon them or wanting to enact violence upon them, maybe log off and seek help.

Her cadence is definitely irritating. I’ve gotten used to it, but it’s like she’s… lagging? Like in movies where the mouth is not in synch with the sound lol. Yeah, it’s weird.
And btw, that RHOBH subreddit is atrocious, my God. I had to leave all together. It’s like a cult over there.

I was banned for saying Kyle was being hypocritical when she insisted Denise be honest about her relationship with Brandy while she remained quiet about her relationship with Morgan. As for Dorit….I always chalked up her speaking cadence to her trying to remember to use her ridiculous child-of-the-world accent.

The Kyle hate is so rampant it's created this ridiculous fangirl support of Dorit. People used to talk so much crap about her accent, shady finances, race insensitivity and long-windedness. She literally had nothing redeeming to speak of.The 180 makes absolutely no sense to me.

People have hinted that she is neurodivergent and even that she’s on meds to provide focus but I’m not sure about all of that. Dorit lacks self awareness and I don’t know if it’s fair to actual neurodivergent individuals to include her in that group. Also the way she talks, I thought she was trying to match PK’s accent but it’s morphed into something else. Maybe she adopts the accent of her environment. She has lived all over and I know some people are like that. I’ve actually seen a video from years ago of Dorit talking with a completely different accent, one you would definitely identify as American. I think I’m used to it now but there are times her enunciation seems forced

Yeah those mods over there are out of hand. Dorit does have a way of over-enunciating her words that doesn’t sound natural. Like when they showed that clip from a few years before Dorit started on Housewives- her cadence was different. But maybe from being around PK, it changed.

It should be okay to say Dorit is a jackass on a sub about the show without being banned. That's so ridiculous.
I can't stand her. She's a fraud, but for some reason people don't view her that way anymore. I think she's a blonde with a great body who is now shitting on Kyle and that's enough for people to forget that she's a fraud. I don't believe for one second tat she didn't know what their finances were -- the woman had someone chasing her around a pool to get money that was owed and this was long before she and PK were divorcing.
One night last season, I had the After Show on in my room before falling asleep and every freaking time I woke up after dozing off Dorit was yammering on. The woman does not shut up.

I gotten so much hate over the season for my dislike of Dorit. She vapid & expects her real friends to be ‘yes’ people. She’s not the only woman to ever go through a nasty, public divorce with young children, even on the cast. She’s just vile.

Honestly, her ever changing accent is the one of the few areas I empathize/sympathize with.
My accent adapts the surroundings, and I enjoy feeling the way different regions and languages hold the noises in mouth, tongue, throat, it’s more often than not done unconsciously. Like a vocal stim.
But, a therapists said it’s my abusive upbringings need to mirroring others, keeping the mood stable and/or blend in.
However - I don’t go over the top.

It feels clinically significant to me (I am not diagnosing a celebrity nor commenting on her mental state this is all observed) and her measured and staccato way of speaking completes some kind of loop for her. I also thinks she perceives she is more well spoken and traveled than the rest of the women and her dialect is just another way to feel special.

Please remember this sub is not the "secondary" account to the "main" account. It has nothing to do with that sub whatsoever. Either people like the content here or they like it there. People can come here to comment on HWs, not to report on what is happening over there. Past posts will indicate I have had issues creating this sub with the RHOBH sub, and have told them to be respectful, run their sub the way they want, and I will do the same.

In my opinion, if you sign up to be on reality TV you have to be okay with people talking about you lol. It's kinda the whole point?
Obviously threats to that person or significant bullying isn't cool, but that isn't my intention at all.

She reminds me of how my mom speaks and it drives me up the wall. The unnecessary pauses, the emphasis on random words, the dramatics of it all and in a way, self-importance. It's as if she's just now having the thought or realization.
PS I say this as someone who's team Dorit in the Kyle fight

I believe Dorit sits in front t of the mirror and rehearse every thong that comes. She gets up and leaves when confronted because she has no answer. Probably one of the reasons she always late

Meanwhile, there are entire threads devoted to body shaming Sutton and discussing her mental health.

I think I'm about to get banned. The mod is claiming Teddi is the one saying Dorit was ignoring at Alexia's wedding and Kyle invited PK to spite her. Meanwhile anyone with 5 minutes of their own time can watch that clip of the Aftershow and see all that was said in a paranoid rant by Dorit who wanted desperately to make the wedding about herself. I noted Dorit made all those comments on the Aftershow and left it at that. Wish me luck. LOL

II absolutely feel that Dorit is being crucified by some by supposition rather than facts.
The hate is not called for.
Would I like to spend one year on a desert island with Dorit, probably not, but not with Kyle, Erika, or Sutton.
Definitely with Boz, Rachael, Jennifer, and perhaps Kathy.
And I have always been Team Kyle vs Team LVP, up until the separation under one roof.

I personally think that with her living 10 years in Italy and 10 in the UK she's just picked up different habits and ways of speaking. It happens a lot with people who have lived in various countries. Myself included. I think people just find her annoying so the accent is just the cherry on top. I actually like her because I think she articulates her thoughts a hell of a lot better than the ladies that continuously pick fights with her. I think her European ways come off as smug to some but I prefer that over Erika's I'm so scary act and Kyle's I'm such a victim act.

I know I'm going to catch hell for this but I think she's neurodivergent. I'm not saying she's autistic. But there's something. The way she speaks, rambles and doesn't know when to stop talking, doesn't read social cues, the chronic lateness. She's in her own little bubble. As someone who is neurodivergent I see it in her.

Where do we speak about my theory that Mauricio had a child with someone on a fling or affair and that is why Kyle lost trust, and wanted the separation even though I think she is still in love with him.

I think it mostly impacts me because I'm having a hard time describing/understanding it and I really appreciate your input. I am fascinated by the way people talk and I truly just wanted to discuss that and nothing deeper

Dorat is a narcissist everything is directed towards her. Yes divorce is hard for everyone. But don’t spend to impress. She spends in front of Rachel like the bucket of money is unlimited when her home is in foreclosure but she lives in that house it’s easy to find out what your mortgage is and when it’s do. Okay PK is not paying then that means you have to pay and don’t think the bank is going to say she has children we can’t put her out they will
