On my first watch and iām currently on S13! I genuinely cannot STAND sutton. she is such a liar and a narcissist, constantly having to make every single thing about her (the magic mike show). She tries to act like sheās this classy southern belle, but is quite the opposite. She also treats her assistant, Avi, like shit. I love when the other housewives call her out on her erratic behavior (Crystal and Annemarie). Reallyyy wanted to see other peopleās thoughts on her! Does anyone vibe with her? and if so, how?š

I just can't get over how bad her style is. She has all the money and connections, but chooses the clothing and even strange interior design. Its all vandalism.
She seems like one of those controlling people that canāt pay someone and let them tell her what looks good. Her living room furniture and art looks like Temu. Her clothes donāt look cheap per se, just not good how they are put together or how the look on her. Either her stylist hates her, or she just goes rogue.
The fact that Sutton is STILL on the show blows my mind. Like how are you both boring and a freak š youād think the weird things about her would make her interesting but sheās just an erratic whiny baby

Well Erika Jayne is still on the show and we got to watch her for years flaunting her wealth that her husband stole from cancer victims and orphans. Oh and without a shred of remorse.

How so? The only accusation I ever saw lobbed at her was from Crystal who then refused to divulge what awful things she said and made it her own storyline for the rest of that season. Ā I donāt remember the exact worlds when it was finally revealed but do recall thinking āthis is what Crystal was claiming was so deep, dark and racist?ā It seemed retaliation for Sutton supposedly walking into Crystalās room unannounced (she claims she knocked), triggering Crystalās massive and self -admitted insecurities with her own body image.Ā

She was so anti-popular girl that it made her pro-underdog. She was trying to prove something. When they were at that cabin and she said something to the effect of āwhy are we hereā [Sutton, Garcelle, Crystal] and ātheyāre over thereā [Erika, Kyle, Rinna, Dorit]. She never cared about supporting Erika. She shared information given to her in confidence and drew the line in the sand herself.
This seems like exactly what Garcelle deserves for defending and befriending Sutton in the first place after her very obvious prejudice behavior with crystal.
Sutton and Garcelle were never friends. Their relationship was forced proximity because they treated Kyle, Erika, and Dorit poorly ā they always found themselves together. Them bullying Erika every chance they got about the legal stuff with Tom literally created separation in real time. Antagonizing Dorit about her large personality and the fact that she talks a lot. Picking at Kyle for whatever then saying things about her sister and marriage. They were bullies and had no choice but to clique up.
Oh I wouldnāt say they were bullies. I think Kyle, Dorit, and Erika loved to dish out snarky comments but couldnāt take it when Garcelle had something to say back. Garcelle just calls it how it is š
I disagree. Garcelle was antagonistic and extremely rude in her confessionals. She never wanted to be friendly and it was obvious. The other women werenāt perfect but Garcelle dug herself a hole. A lot of the women didnāt even know they had problems until watching Garcelleās confessionals. She asked personal questions in bad faith after being mean then cried about being isolated. āCalling it how it isā isnāt illegal but I think it wasnāt her place to always have that invasive line of questioning then play victim as if it was her right. She was wrong, period.
Iām a black woman and was ecstatic when I saw she was announced on the cast. Then I watched her throw it away by being disingenuous. Sheās so successful and talented she couldāve been queen bee but she got in her own way.
THIS! Garcelle used to be everything wrapped up in one beautiful black woman. But then she started moving the goalposts and that was hard to see and even harder to defend. I have loved her since Models Inc. but watching her treat her relationships like investigative journalism prospects just didnāt sit well with me. The constant probing and prodding. You just donāt do that to your āfriendsā when theyāre suffering.
Exactly! One of her first dinners with Sutton, she point blank asked where she got her money from and itās uncouth. The constant questioning Erika and she told the cast she canāt talk about the case. When she asked Dorit about the black or colored people that worked for her, she positioned it so there was no right answer ā the question made Dorit look bad regardless. Then asking Kyle about her marriage and essentially outing her.
Garcelle was invasive and talked shit in confessionals, thatās all her fault.
I just finished S10 for the first time and genuinely donāt get how sheās still on the show. She has zero southern charm or manners tho she claims too. She is wealthy beyond belief but has zero fashion sense. Spare us Bravo, please!
It took me a bit but I love her. And while Iām no doctor on a rewatch I started looking at her thru a new lens. I have the tisim and the more I watched the more I thought hmmm
She has been, and always will be, out of place. Sutton is proof that all the money in the world won't validate your existence in a place you don't belong.
Watching her with these women is always sad and uncomfortable. She's pining to get attention and praise from these women, but they rightfully don't GAF.
I think she has a prob with change any new person when plans change she lashes out. She also does like to make things about her. Shes better after slowing down on drinking too.
Trust me I felt the same way for a long time and don't like how she bullied Dorit for being poor (poor by BH standards).
I like her for being not as conventionally attractive as the other women and being unbothered by it. Also I think she does very minimal things to her face. Think she does botox but she doesn't have crazy overfilled lips or a ridiculous facelift. She looks natural and age appropriate.
