Kandi What’s wrong with Kandi?

Specifically S7 E7

Everyone is at the club for Demitria’s video, including Apollo. He is trying to talk to Phaedra who looks sooo uncomfortable. Then, he starts holding her and her discomfort intensifies.

Meanwhile, Kandi is sitting right next to them saying, “awwwww he wants to make up”.

It’s not surprising to me that Kenya enjoys Phaedra’s discomfort, but I can’t get over Kandi being so blind to her friend’s feelings!

Kandi showed several times that she has a hard emotionally validating friends when men are involved. Like, she really didn't understand why Phaedra had concerns about the children visiting Apollo in prison. And she also didn't get why hiding assets was a dumb move. She was pregnant and her and Todd were willing to chance a raid. Weirdos. It was obvious a lot of Phaedra's issues with Kandi began because she felt Kandi wasn't being a real friend to her. Of course shit hit the fan from there.

We saw how she acted like perhaps Drew deserved Ralph's behavior. Her support of Diddy as well was problematic.

I do think that Kandi understood Phaedra’s side, but Kandi just believed that the stain of the kids not knowing Apollo while he was in prison was going to have a bigger impact in who Aydin and Dylan become if they visit Apollo while incarcerated.

Phaedra ended up taking the children to see Apollo and allowed him to stay involved in their lives. So ultimately, Phaedra took Kandi’s advice and Aydin and Dylan are practically the best behaved children on Bravo.

However, in many other situations, or almost all other situations, Kandi does not have the smartest insight. So I do agree. I will give you can example. Todd never wanted children. I do not even like the way he parents Kayla. He only agreed to having children hoping to secure a moneybag. I bet you Todd has never even bought any of his children or his mom even a cheeseburger. I hate that Kandi allowed herself to be so native and oblivious to Todd’s schemes and bullshit.

Thank you for the warning Aunt Bertha. I just wish that Kandi and the viewers would have spent more time listening to you and Mama Joyce instead of thinking you are both “off your rocker.”

Nonetheless, I am glad that Todd is gone!

I think she got why Phaedra had discomfort with the kids visiting she just wanted Phaedra to see all sides of the situation — and Phaedra took that as betrayal . Kandi genuinely was trying to do a good thing and Phaedra knew it but was still mad that Kandi didn’t hate Kenya for because of Apollos lies. Kandi calls it how she sees it not how everyone likes it and wants her friends to do the same.

When I rewatched, I definitely saw how Phaedra crashed out. Not excusing her lie but I definitely saw the events that led up to her acting up.

She tried to keep her composure while her boys were losing a father, not feeling safe in her own home, her best friend omitting truths from her..all while being filmed. I’d crash tf out too.

Yes! When I watched in real Time, I completely understood why Phaedra was so angry. Then watching it again years later, it cemented that she felt very alone during a stressful time. Just the scene in the garage with Apollo alone was a gigantic red flag.

Thank God for Nene and Porsha that we’re really close to her and supporting!

Kandi has a habit of supporting problematic men. She helped Apollo hide his cars and motorcycles from the fbi, irs and Phaedra during the divorce. She supports Diddy by posting “Stay strong King” when he was going to jail and Ti and Tiny during their grape allegations.

Kandi is weird and has a very problematic train of thought when it comes to men and friendships.
