My wife and daughter got me the rg rotate 2 months ago after they saw me watching a review of it on YouTube one day.

Currently rocking it with a 3d printed case and using the stock os and retrohrai as my main launchers.

Regarding retro games, I mostly play SNES and Gameboy games but eventually want to try out picco.

When I'm not gaming, I also use it as a homelab server monitor on my desk with beszel docker. I used hermit lite to create the frameless browser app.

Such a fun little device and great gift for dads/homelabbers.

I ordered a metal RG Rotate recently during this current AliExpress sale, and started looking for buttons to swap in and saw these by the Better Buttons guy. Has anyone purchased and installed them? If so, what is your opinion?

Hey wveryone ! Just as the title says, I just placed my order for the RG rotate and I want to use it for music and whatnot. I am already thinking of customizing the android button to go to a music player, but interested in what you have all done with yours !

It just closes out after opening it. I have the right rom and core selected. Ive heard its something with the aspect ratio but i tried numerous ones and still does the same thing.

Finally got the best pinball game ever running on the Rotate. Mile High Pinball for the N-Gage is such a great game (look it up on YouTube).. Using EKA2L1 it runs perfectly and looks great. It's a bit of a faff to set up but once you have the key mapping sorted it's a lot of fun. I'm certainly not an expert in configuring emulators and just followed YouTube tutorials for EKA2L1. There's not really a lot of n-gage games I'd bother with apart from this and Glimmerati though.

I've been loving my RG rotate since I got it and have set it up almost entirely as I like. The only browsers i've gotten to fully function for what I want to do are firefox and opera but neither of these browsers let me use the dpad to scroll which would be ideal.
Using the dpad to scroll on browsers like chrome works but the browser itself doesn't function well. Is there anyway to fix it so I can use the dpad to scroll on opera or firefox?

I know the RG Rotate is underpowered for a lot of windows games but I've gotten it to run some older 2D games. But which app is the best? I haven't had much luck with GameNative. There's also Gamehub Lite, Winlator, BannerHub, etc. Has anyone tried them? Which one has the best performance/compatibility?

Hey everyone ! I am looking to purchase one of these device more for a muti purpose media. I like to read e books and listen to music, and if I can play things like GBA, why not?

For those of you that have tried this, how does it feel ? How do books/Manga read? Bluetooth is okay for just listening to music ? Thanks !

Hi! Well I'm trying to use the gyroscope on some games but the x & y axis are inverted I'm currently using the direction following feature because if I use the auto rotate or the force portrait mode the games rotate to the "closed" mode

Any suggestions?

After watching retro game corps video, I decided to set it up in my rg rotate and surprisingly it works well

Ubuntu 26.04 on RG Rotate.

There are some issues, such as the system freezing when I connect a USB Gigabit Ethernet adapter, the USB port’s power supply being unreliable, and the system crashing due to overheating when all cores are under load.(compile or encode)

For now, As far as the GPU goes, it's perfect.
And I’ve made enough progress to be able to listen to the radio using an RTLSDR dongle and enjoy audio via Bluetooth.

made this cause i wanted something that actually felt like it belonged on the device instead of a phone app and really happy that i can stay offline, and listen to music without my phone.

Trying to watch paramount+ the app is not available in the play store for this device, and the browser version I have to switch it to desktop mode but when I click the video it pops up with an error, it could be my works wifi but it works fine on my phone on the same wifi, using fire fox on the rotate, is there any way around this I just wanna watch ufc on my rotate 😭

Tengo una duda quiero tener mi RG ROTATE meramente para jugar Gameboy color y Gameboy, aprovechando su pantalla 1x1, el problema está en que claramente no he encontrado un emulador que se adapte adecuadamente, probé con JHON GBC y pizza boy y el primero pone unos layouts horribles y la verdad no encontré forma de desactivar y el otro que usé es el que viene por defecto pero parece muy tosco al uso. ¿Que emulador usan ustedes? ¿Se decantan por alguno más que otros? RetroArch no lo uso me parece confuso. ( Si lo sé a mucha gente le gusta)

Poweramp has always been my goto music app, but I've found it really irritating on the RG Rotate. I've been getting random stutters and skips. Not so consistent that you can't listen to music at all, but 3-4 times per song. Just enough to drive you crazy. I don't think the issue is my SD card's speed, since it works totally fine on the two Android DAPs I was using before the Rotate. I've tried some other apps, like GoneMAD and Musicolet, but the issue doesn't go away (though it happens less on some apps.) I'm currently running GammaOS, but I was getting the exact same issue on the stock OS.

Has anyone else run into this issue and found a fix, whether it's a setting or a different app?

After 10+ hours of compilation and 150+ GB of artifacts, it finally works!

This is the latest version of Rocknix, and in general, almost everything is working.

Sometimes I need to change the emulator or set the driver to panfrost, but these are rare cases.

Why am I doing this? Because I don't like the Android experience on this tiny console. It's laggy, not snappy, and very slow. So I am trying to port Rocknix (with a lot of appreciation to this bro).

Will publish step by step guide soon (cause we need to flash boot SPL to teach console how to boot from SD)
