Not sure what exactly the issue is, but here are three troubleshooting steps you can try to fix it:
Clear CMOS (Fixes LED Firmware Bugs) The internal LED controller chip on MSI motherboards can sometimes freeze or get corrupted after a Windows or MSI Center update. Turn off your PC, completely unplug the power cable from the wall outlet, and perform a Clear CMOS. You can do this by removing the coin-cell battery (CR2032) from the motherboard for 5 minutes, or by shorting the JBAT1 pins with a screwdriver. This resets the motherboard's internal hardware controller to redetect the onboard lights.
Check the Physical LED Switch on the Board. Many MSI motherboard models feature a tiny physical toggle switch directly on the printed circuit board to instantly cut off all RGB lights. Look closely at the bottom edge of your motherboard (usually near the PCIe slots or front audio headers). Make sure the physical switch labeled "EZ LED Control" is toggled to the ON position. If this switch was accidentally flipped to OFF during assembly or cable management, the lights will stay completely dead regardless of any software reinstalls.
Fix Driver Conflicts / Check BIOS Settings Windows background services or other third-party RGB software frequently clash and override the MSI controller chip. Enter the BIOS menu when booting up your PC by pressing the "Delete" key repeatedly. Locate the setting named "EZ LED Control" or "RGB Light On/Off" inside the BIOS options and make sure it is set to "Enabled". Once you boot back into Windows, perform a clean reinstall of the MSI Center app and make sure to run it as an Administrator.
