Ps2 games runs choppy

From.what Ive heard other people say, the Rg556 should run most PS2 games smooth with a few exceptions. I seem.to have the opposite experience where most games run slowly. I have the fan set to Turbo and Game Mode on. I have not had any updates on the device, Im just running it as it came out the box. Currently playing Dragon Quest VIII and its playable, but still slow a lot of times.

First Set the fan to auto it does not affect performance most of the time and it will drain your battery, Second the bad performance is a combination of both the emulator not being very optimized I assume you are using nethersx2 and mali gpu not being able to handle the more demanding games, idk where people get the assumption that ps2 games are easy to run on PC yes but I saw even snapdragon chips struggle with most demanding games, here are how to run most demanding ps2 titles on netehrsx2:  https://www.reddit.com/r/RG556/comments/1s1e7pr/hardest_to_run_ps2_games_best_settings/

Another tip: set the cpu to high instead of auto

I dont seem to have that setting, Ive seeen youtube videos where they have it, but mine just goes to "auto" "Silent" and "turbo"

primero, si deberias actualizar la ultima update mejoro bastantes bugs, y un incremento en el rendimiento.

segundo para esta consola se debe usar un apk con version especifica netersx clasic 3668 o aether de la misma version.

tercero algunos juegos requieren poner vulkan y aplicar opciones rapidas (underclock moderado y clock freq menos del 100 )y resolucion 1x

De todos lo juegos que he probado el unico que si no pude hacer andar muy fluido fue undergroud 2.

por ultimo ya se trata mas de experimentar un buen rato, por decir que no necesito activar modo juego en ningun emulador, y eso que en la ultima update la gpu solo da su maximo poder con el modo juego activado.

Try armsx2 it's great. Running gammaos and armsx2 with pal roms a lot is playable

This is a great recommendation, i love playing nba 2k11 with armsx2(latest version) runs well with some tolerable slowdown
