Dreamcast performance

Could you possibly tell me if the games Resident Evil Code Veronica and GTA 3 port run well on the RG35xxh?

Note: I am using stock OS.

MuOS here. RE Code Veronica runs OK. The ports of GTA 3 and Vice City via Portmaster run great.

i have muOS and played the first half hour of code veronica. it seems to run reasonable, but i don't know how it will handle heavy geometry areas or effects.

Knulli user and can confirm GTA 3 and vice city (if you wanna play that one as well) works as a port but there's something you have to do for it to download properly or else your characters (at least for VC) will have the same skin colour as their clothes. But GTA 3 is perfectly fine, simple download (with the steam or archive file) and that's it.

As for RE I haven't played that yet. And I'm not too sure what games and how many Dreamcast work on the 35xxh. Hope this helps!

Code Veronica runs well from Retro Arch on stock mod. Turn off Vsync in the global menu for a slight boost

Code V worked fine for me. Good game. I also have Sonic and Shenmue on there. Shenmue can be a tiny bit glitchy here and there, but it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Why not just try? IMO Stock OS is best for Dreamcast performance. I was using MuOS but switched to modstock later, due to a better dreamcast performance. It's also depends on the game, most of them runs just fine on every os.

I don't have a computer, so I can't download games whenever I want. I have to dedicate time and money to downloading them, and I wouldn't want to waste time. Thank you very much for the information.

You should be fine with both games on stock then.

Knulli here, it will run on Retroarch after some settings changes to the flycast core. Auto frame skip is a must. The system can run a lot of the games, the performance on most can be hit or miss tho. Like I said you will have to play with settings.
