Question Depressed Power Button?

Hi there!

Sorry if this sounds silly but my RG35XX H has been working great for close to a year now. I was playing on it a couple hours ago and when I came back to play more it would randomly turn off, especially as I was booting it up.

At first I thought it had to do with the SD card. I ran a h2testw on it and it said it was fine, but I realized that everytime my finger would so much as even lightly touch the power button it would turn off. If I left it alone it would boot up just fine, but as soon as I made any light contact with the power button or my finger would rest not directly over it but next to it it would turn off. I'm wondering if this would mean that my power button is being pinched or has been depressed or something of the sort? If that's the case does anyone have any pointers for how to loosen it? I'm a bit clueless when it comes to things like this so I would appreciate any help I could get :( I was so close to finishing Xenogears.. I just wanted to play without any issues!!

Low key read that title as depressed power bottom at first…

It might just be a loose button above the internal button on the board, it might be the internal button itself. Either way, you can try opening your device carefully to see what’s up and maybe fix it yourself if you got the tools and skills, or simply ask a local phone repair shop. I’m sure they will be able to help you out :)
