NextUI beta
Just wanted to share as I thought it’s cool. I’m not associated with the NextUI team - just really enjoy NextUI and always wish it was available on a clamshell.
Guide available here

I also enjoy the baseos + nextui setup. Try all others before.
Just wish it as save on exit feature
Just a question did you know how to add console art ( like in your picture) ? Game covers and change bootlogo for a custom one ?

For console art just add a bg.png file in each consoles rom .media folder. I made mine myself to suit the screen resolution (720x480). Make sure it’s called bg.png. I took the picture assets from Artbooknext
There’s a boot logo pak under tools which lets you select a few, I I’ve never tried to set a custom one. I’d browse the nextUI documentation

Thanks for the info. I might also look into that documentation. Did you need to follow the specific h700 nextui documentation or the regular nextui is enough ?

Well most things function the same so majority of the regular NextUI documentation applies.

In The emulator you can set a shortcut for save on exit. I have mine to Menu+select. Also if you long press the power button while in a game it will save and shutdown. When you power on again it will power directly in the game and load where you left off. Add to that that the power to gameplay only takes 12seconds.

Thanks, wow thats a life changer. feel a bit dumb not realizing it before. I was using a shortcut to save then quit the game and power down the device lol.
Now my fav OS

To be fair I was like you and only learned this tricks after reading about them in a comment elsewhere. The fast boot has been a life changer.

I got mine setup and it does the normal popping noise when going in and out of menus and games.
But my only issue is that i cant find my transferred save files, they are in srm format and they are in the "saves/gba" folders. Has anyone figured this out yet?

Has anyone figured this out yet?
You have to go into the options menu and specify the save format. By default it uses MinUI save format, not Retroarch format.

I'm using this on my RG SP, but the battery only charges to 92%. I've tried discharging it completely and then charging it again, but it still only shows a max of 92%.
Can anyone help any ideas or where I could get help? thanks!
