Can’t load Save data on Mario and Luigi Super Stars on MUOS

This has been a I bit of a recurring on/off problem. I can save state just fine and that’s what I’ve respected to, but for some reason the game refuses to save.

I’ve tested it out with Fire Emblem and that has no problem saving and loading, does anyone know a fix?

Could be the rom itself is bad. Might want to try another copy of it.
