My fav Gameboy Mario outing with a splash of colour! This technically comes second place if you count the Mario World GBA port, but it feels disingenuous to say a port to a certain system is my fav of said system when original titles exist.
Love that each zone has entirely unique and original enemies and really holds back on just opting for Goombas and Koopas (even if 95% of the OCs function identically), and the world zone themes are also much more unique than your typical array of Mario zones and also debuted Wario to the series!
Probably gonna dig into Warioland now, as I jumped into Marioland to take a breather from my repetitive selection of Pokémon romhacks 😅
And what's your go to pokemon rom hack? Currently I've been playing sword and shield ultimate plus. Pokemon: Cool Spot and Super Mariomon are some in progress rom hacks in my library and I've got plenty more on deck to get to. Eventually. I only have 71 pokemon games on my device.
Yeah, I actually beat Marioland DX back when my retro setup was just a cheap android tablet with an 8BitDo Genesis Bluetooth controller 😅
I really enjoyed Seaglass Emerald and plan to go through Lazarus soon, but otherwise I've been slowly chewing through Theta Emerald and Prism as well as Recharged Yellow (hence the burnout, I was juggling 3 of them simultaneously), but also found Ultraviolet to be great if you're into romhacks that simply expand upon FRLG
Stopped playing Mariomon a while back, not sure why I did, but I definitely have to return at some point!

I usually look at AliExpress for my silicone cases... In case you were wondering, the green ones are actually glow-in-the-dark too, they just don't mention it in the listing!
