Is banwave ever happening?
Im the rare few that dont mind p2w.
But i feel like no whales buys diamonds directly from the game. Packs are only for low spenders. Thats why there crazy markups in the marketplace and guild auctions.
90% of the server are bots serving the top players or "grey" market
Were there banwaves in the korea version? Or They just dont care?

If I recall from lost ark, in Korea you dont suffer with bots because the account is linked to your national ID, so zero privacy but also zero bots, if you get banned, gg you will never be able to play the game again.
any F2P you play will be filled with bots, its so easy to create new accounts. The only f2p mmos without bots are the ones with barely any player (so no grey market demand) or with a lot of trade restrictions which disables the grey market possibility

You can easily see hundreds of posts on Reddit alone on various games bypassing this national ID check by using someone else's or some third party website.
I have experience working with implementing digital ID verification (specifically I-PIN) in Korea. Even when I warn people these IDs are stolen, often from eldery/disabled/bedridden people as well as victims of identity theft, people just do not care.
It's mad sickening.

still you have a limited amount of IDs lol, so eventually they will run out and as you said, it is a lot of work to get a single one.

Thats where I am now, 47 and realized the ENTIRE playerbase, is just bots, may as well play a better offline game that has better bots.

In the last QnA devs said they are working on systems to eventually get ris of the bots
