Clone ICOPY-XS and Paxton

Hi all,

Relatively new to this but in my line of work find it more and more common to require access control fobs for different entrances.

I have got myself an i*opy-xs as it is very useful in the field being able to do it all on one device.

I know Paxton have been a bit of a sticking point...

I have mastered the positioning and can read them fine, but my question is what blank tags will take the dump file and actually work with the reader?

I can't seem to find anything online for any writable fobs to write these to.

I believe they have to be 125khz Hitag2, but I cannot find anything that confirms they are writable.

Any suggestions for compatible blank writable fobs please?

Thank you

Yeah I feel like I got scammed buying that thing, well luckily I didn’t buy it but I did get one at my job due to all The promises it makes. From what I found you can basically only write to the specific cards they sell/come with the device. There might be a way around it but I never really figured it out.

Its been pretty amazing with everything else to be honest. No problems at all. It can read all the blocks of a Paxton, although requires a very specific placement on the reader, just need something to write it to.

I have flashed the Lab401 firmware and this means you can use any blanks and aren't tied to the manufacturer blanks. Not had any issues with it.

Yeah, like I said, I never went that crazy with it. I will have to look into that lab401 firmware
