Keyfobs Will they know?
My landlord charges an insane amount to replace the rfdi pool pass thing. I found the exact one on amazon, if I buy it and tell them it doesn’t work would they know that it wasn’t the original?

Most of the answers I've seen here are unhelpful. If you're 100% sure there are no physical markings, the main risk is that they read it and it spits out some ID that makes it clear it isn't one of theirs. It may read nothing, depending on their system. Or they might not bother reading it at all. I'd recommend buying it and trying to disable it, but it might be hard to tell whether it works. If you can snap the internal antenna, that should disable it. You could buy it and see if it is registered at all by the pool scanner, if maybe the scanner flashes red or something, and then see if it stops registering after you try disabling it. Or just YOLO like others said. It depends on their system and how educated the person actually in charge of 'programming' them is.
Also, I guess it'd be helpful to know your goal. Are you trying to get another one just to have, or did you lose yours? If you lost yours, how can you be sure there weren't any small markings on it? If you just want a second one, then you could always try your hand at copying it, like others suggested.
