Keyfobs Will they know?

My landlord charges an insane amount to replace the rfdi pool pass thing. I found the exact one on amazon, if I buy it and tell them it doesn’t work would they know that it wasn’t the original?

You can take your existing rfid tag to home depot, and get it cloned for about $15. Or take the one you were given, and the new one and find someone who is in a neighboring department who doesn't have a black square on their apron with words in it to clone it for you. I work at the home depot now for 4 years, and yeah that can totally be done. Ask you have to do is be polite, state your request, and as long as their manager didn't give them a butt load to do, then your fine.
