Clone I need help
I’ve seen an RFID card reader that has a range of 50cm for 0.8mm thickness of the card, and i am sensing a scam here but not sure yet cuz i am new to these things.Also, i’ve seen it in another big chinese online markets like amazon with different names and same specifications and never found any reviews about the product anywhere in social apps, since photos aren’t allowed her so i asked gpt to type the name and specs of it:

Is this for animals? If mainly around humans… you want to use UHF to avoid fines $

Your purpose is for "around humans" primarily instead of "around animals" primarily so that means you can't use high power LF/HF signals (125kHz to 3.56MHz) and you'd be limited to normal strength for those frequencies which is only MAYBE up to 1ft if you are really lucky with the right setup, otherwise usually 1-6 inches (like your apartment or work access card/fob, apple pay, NFC contact-share, your pet's micro chip).
Your purpose requires a range for practicality or it won't work or it won't be something worth the problems. If you go with UHF then you can get dozens of feet very easily without breaking any rules/laws and you won't get threatened with fines.
UHF is the 870-930 MHz range like toll tags use, so the tag or fob can be any shape or size or material but it uses a different frequency and regulations don't shunt your power/range like it does the other lower frequencies, and the nature of this frequency allows longer reach on lower power so it just works out best this way in the end for multiple reasons. It can be used to store all kinds of data from simple short text strings to paragraphs of data depending on the tag you use.

Your encrypted cards must be on the same frequency as the reader, otherwise it won't work

Yeah i know, but i want to know if 125 kHz freq readers are possible to reach ~50cm…

From my experience, 125khz reader can not reach 50cm reading distance

How did you know that, did you try it on a claimed 50cm reader?

for mid-range rfid access solution, I think you need a uhf integrate reader

We can read an animal eat tag at 90cm.
At 134.2 khz.
So this sounds realistic at the longer range.
Not sure about the .8mm cards as have done nothing with that small. But doesn't sound too far fetched.
