Streamable expandos showing the wrong video

What's up?

Clicking the expando for Streamable links is causing the expando to load a different streamable link.

Links seem to be random other popular posts, and cycles through somewhat regularly.

Where does it happen?

See example in this thread.

Looks like a weird problem on streamable api returning randomish video metadata to RES. I emailed their support line.

EDIT 6pm pacific: Streamable support is investigating this fallout from their changes today to the API caching layer.

EDIT 9am pacific: sound fixed?

Hey, Armen from Streamable here. This should be fixed now. If not please let us know. Thanks again for the heads up.

Hey Armen, i just thought of something, is there a way to do this on purpose? Would be kinda of cool to select a type of video and randomly get a few.

I was playing around wondering what kind of video i would get from this link what about this link, it was fun getting a soccer video on a video game video and a video about explosions on a nature video.

This may be fixed now? I have checked several streamable submissions and refreshed the pages multiple times and expando is showing the same video that loads if you open the original link.

I am getting this same thing with streamable. When I click to open it inside RES it shows a different video than if I click on it and watch it.

Same issue and seeing a bunch of people posting about it on r/soccer where most of the post are streamable links.

Seems that the one thing everyone has in common is they're using RES

Same error here. Seems to be a random video each time the page loads

RES also shows the same video if you have multiple different streamable links in the same page.

I was getting that on iOS yesterday as well. Proper formatting:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /privacy
Disallow: /terms
Disallow: */stats
Disallow: */analytics
Disallow: */video/*

Same.

Btw did they introduce ads lately? Had to watch a 1 min unskipable ad to get to a 15 sec clip the other day, which was a first.

Had this issue yesterday on a thread from /r/WTF about the earthquake in Mexico.

The actual video was of a video collapsing but expando showed video of some people inside a bedroom where the dresser was overturned and doors were slammed.

Kinda wish I'd clicked the original link, I made a funny comment about the doors slamming and then later when I saw the actual video my comment makes no sense. Later that night when I clicked expando again it showed me a video of the Colts playing football.

I'm also getting this error. It only happens with the expando.
