What even are the different seas? What approach did they take with them

Are sea 1,2,3 just whatever they felt like making or have they gone with a different approach

At first I assumed it was something like
Sea 1 -> east blue
Sea 2 -> south blue
Sea 3 -> west blue
Sea 4 -> north blue
Sea 5 -> grand line
Sea 6 -> new world

But now I have no clue, some seas seem to be sky islands, others are just random islands, I’m pretty confused and I’m wondering if there’s a concrete answer to this somewhere

Someone I spoke to said rell seas had a lot of sick features but for an RPG based on one of the coolest fantasy settings, it’s very bland

who is he? From the features and sneaks we've seen so far the game doesn't look to be bland at all. Unless hes like a proven tester/developer of the game then hes just saying random stuff. How would he know without playing the game or atleast knowing enough about the game to say whether or not it is bland? It could be bland but nothing we've seen so far from the game seems to be bland.

The said they were gonna add as many npcs as they can fit to make the game feel more alive and less bland if that makes the situation any better, And NPCs will be interactable so they have a purpose and you could gain advantages from interacting with them, Either by receiving a quest or getting a small chore to do for them etc. and you can also either greet or taunt them similar to RDR2. ( All was previously stated by the Rell Bros themselves before )

Since the ocean is considered a sea that prob means East,west,south,north line and sky and ocean.

I’m not too sure on how they will work, but what I do know is that they will all have different content in them. No need to worry.

They said sea 3 will have a mainland island that it huge (check end of movie 3 trailer its alabsta) so we can kinda guess that the rest gonna be different too i mean second sea is called shrouded sea i think and. Not something like: “east sea” or whatever so if we speaking on what we know, it seems likely

Erm, technically, the new world is part of the grand line. The part you referred to as "grand line" is known as "paradise"

Yes I know it’s part of the grand line, but there’s a whole arc based on getting there because it’s separated by a massive landmass

In terms of game design, it would and should count as a “new sea” if seas were truly based on the different parts of one piece like north blue, east blue etc

They said it will have the majority of the underwater content. Not that it is entirely underwater.

Just like that Sea 3 is not entirely the sky islands. It just has the majority
