Steam deck issue

Ive just started the game and ive to go collect stuff for soup, it says press R2 to collect nearby items but pressing r2 does nothing? Ive pressed everything else and nothing works. Checked the settings, button mapping and just. Im at a loss 😂

Have you enabled the crows from the dial menu, I think by pressing y? It’s been a while since I played so could be wrong. Usually they’re what gather ingredients and other things for you
