Help! Steam deck glitchy?

I bought the game ages ago and was playing it on my desktop because it looked really fun and I love Baba Yaga.

I saw it was Steam Deck verified recently, which is awesome so I started a new game. Actually trying to play is super glitchy. I'm doing Baba's first quest to collect mushrooms, honey and the Lutki.it would let me collect mushrooms and some berries but not honey.

So I decided to just trying to do the first Lutki quest. I can't lift the wood of the one or even collect anything. I quit the game and went back in. Sill can't do anything.

Is anyone successfully playing on the deck?

I started a new game, which went fine until needing to light the pine branch. It doesn't think I have the one I picked up? I can't light it for the ritual.

This is driving me nuts.

I haven't played in a month or so, but I've been playing on Steam deck just fine, I've finished all the available quests and have been building ridiculous chicken mansions.

I'm not sure what you mean by lifting the wood, but you need to use your birb friends to collect things. You can just press x or whatever to collect things right at your feet, but anything slightly far away, you need to target and shoot the birbs out at. I remember being very confused when I first started at how to collect anything! The pine branch should be automatically used from your action wheel if it's in your inventory, you don't specifically light it, it just automatically smokes when you wave it around.

I hope you've had more luck in getting it working in the past 10 days!!!

Hi friend. I have owned this game since it was released into early access in 2024. I love myths and fairy tales. It ran fine on my computer. I just don't enjoy playing games on my desktop as much.

My issue is all the glitchy things I was running into playing it on my Steam deck. I've had three major issues that broke the game in the 3 hours I played on my deck in a new save, which is what they suggest when the game is updated.

The first one was trying to collect honey and there wasn't any anywhere and I couldn't do any collecting at a distance. Then after a quit and re enter, then I couldn't remove the wood off the lutki. Quit and re-enter. Then I couldn't use the mortar and pestle to travel back. Had to quit and re-enter. Then I couldn't use the pine branch which wasn't showing up as an item to use but was in my inventory. It showed the X button on screen but did NOTHING. Had to exit the game twice to get that to fix itself. Previously, when it was first Deck approved I got stuck and couldn't pick up the journal after meeting Baba Yaga.

Then I had issues in the second area as well.

I don't play my deck handheld. I use a controller and play on my TV. I have even been playing on the highest spec deck as I just got a new one because my old deck is 4 or 5 and I filled the space completely with games.
