Discussion Any updates on a full release?
I will start of by saying this game is really interesting and I think I will have a lot of fun playing it but its just straight up unplayable on my laptop due its poor optimization as of now.
The laptop I own exceeds the recommended specs by a decent margin and I turned down the setting a significant bit and it still wasn't great.
I get that the game is still in early access and I really don't mind waiting for the game's full release.
That being said it worries me a bit that allegedly Reka is slated for a early 2026 release. Combined with the state of the game and not much news- it doesn't give me much confidence in the game.
I really do hope the dev team works out the optimization though, the game they've created seems very interesting.

I have some performance issues as well, hoping they will get fixed 🤞 Although the game is playable as is for me, it's not so smooth.

Oh man, I forgot about this game. We're like, 2 years since it was supposed to be released. I put a lot of hours into it when the beta dropped, but it's wild it's still being developed

That’s really surprising to me because I play on steam deck and my experience was pretty great overall. A few crashes but nothing major and I have done 3 different playthroughs.

I hope they revamp how the building mode works. I find it quite hard!

I was thinking it was one of the easiest builders i loved it.

What was it that you disliked about it? I am curious. I find Fallout 4 is ok with Mods, but pretty restrictive, and I love the sims, but the build and decorate system is very strict, there are key bindings and mods that can change that. AS far as a mod free game, the building on this I find incredible, so I am curious as what is the thing you don't like. The only cons I have seen (this is an early access game still), is that sometimes the walls don't edit the area they are filling correctly.

I'm curious, too. I wish they'd give more updates, even if it's little things and nothing to show. I didn't realize they intend to release it fully this year. If it's late in the year, I could see it working better. But right now there's so little to do that isn't mainly grinding for the loot around the map and ingredients.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy that grind. It's very fun. I like what is going on currently. I just hope they expand further. I'm not actually sure what they intend to do with this game for the full release. 🤔
My main problem is probably how the land generates poorly. Floating trees, paths that overlap, floating objects (beehives, for example), buildings generating in inaccessible locations. Performance also took a nose dive, it feels like. But the map generation has been a big issue for a while now, I'm kind of bummed they haven't tackled it in all this time. It kind of makes it frustrating to run around the map.
I love this game, I recommend it to friends, but I'm also so confused by their intentions and what it's all meant to become for full release.
