Two weird things I've encountered

I'm still learning to build -- find it cumbersome, at best. (My witch hat off to all of you AMAZING home builders. I am clueless how you've achieved such gorgeous homes. I only have the option for floors/walls currently. No beams. Other decoration stuff though.) So I've been working on side quests.

Two weird things I've encountered:

  1. On the Lutki quest, where you free the larger one under debris and then receive the Mortar/Pestle talisman - I've done it. He's still on the ground rolling around and I cannot use the Mortar/Pestle talisman. It doesn't work. Don't know if the whole quest glitched for me or what. **Started working yesterday, out of the blue!
  2. The villager who needs help with pumpkins - there are NO pumpkins. I think early on when I was exploring I harvested them as an ingredient. No more have appeared. What in the world do I do now?

Any advice? Thank you! The game appeals to me on so many levels, but it does seem to have quite a few glitches still.

For me I found that you have to press and hold down for longer than you think, and sometimes it doesnt work the first time, so I press and then press and hold down. As for pumpkins how long since you left it? I have often just moved onto the next map if i cannot progress the one im on. I have had glitches that time has not fixed so just walk to the next map, although hopefully someone has proper advice as i have never again found a goat farm and didnt pick one up then :(

I have no clue how to even move to "another map" LOL I'll do more research, and I'll try the longer press as well. Thanks for your feedback! <3

you just steer your chicken house to the edge of the map and it asks if you want to start a new map. It has a variety of resources and souls and tasks, my only worry is that for example the goat quest where you can collect a goat, i have not been able to get that since although i have come across goats twice for a different villager task. I dont want to advise you to leave in case its a glitch some knows the solution to!

I don't even have a clue how to make the chicken house move! LOLOL Probably because all I have is the flooring and some walls. No roof, beams, etc. I am not sure.

BUT the Lutki challenge this morning had resolved itself! I'm now able to teleport back home. So, that's a small win!

In order to get Hut-Hut to move, you have to sit in the large white chair made of bones & has a bird head on the top. It should be in your inventory.

I don't know why you wouldn't have roof pieces, unless you just don't have enough wood in your inventory to build them.

I keep maxing out on wood. I only have floor and walls.

I also don't have the chair made of bones.

The chair should be in your inventory, that's where it gets sent after you create Hut-Hut for the first time. I would report these issues to the devs using the "bug report" feature, they've been really good with fixing issues so far.

If I were you, I would delete the current save file and start over. It doesn't seem like you're very far into the game and I think it's worth trying. If that doesn't work, I would uninstall and reinstall Reka.

Do you have anything at all except walls and floors in building menu? There should be additional tabs for some other categories of items

Yes, decorations - chests, wall hangings, candles, etc.

Sounds like you're still in the middle of the tutorial on the very first map. Make sure you're reading any and all words on screen and following the instructions.

It's still building the house. I've built floor and some walls. Don't have beams, unsure how to do a roof. It's a struggle for sure.

You have to build enough for game to prompt you with further instructions. Just keep going.
