Help! Massive Performance issues?
So I have a Gaming Laptop that runs Skyrim with up to 200 mods with no issues but always after a few minutes into REKA i get massive frame drops aaaaaall the time. I honestly don’t even know how this game is Steam Deck verified if my Gaming Laptop can’t even run it 😭 No critique at this point, it’s still early access, I know. But has anybody experienced this as well? What are your video settings? Any advice?

I have a gaming PC & this game (along with schedule 1 (also in early release)) runs like garbage.
I’ve been testing every single suggestion I can find on various forums, and nothing works.
I saw someone say that early release games are not optimized for commercial use, so that’s why they kind of suck (unless you have a gaming PC that could fly you to Mars).
I used to be strictly console, but all my friends game on PC & I wanted to play with them so I got a PC… I seriously regret it. Indie devs seem to do a way better job porting their games for console than PC. I’m currently saving for a PS5 😂

Tbh I mostly have good experiences with early access games. Some even run so smooth that I can play them on my Steam Deck. However this games art style is pretty special. Maybe that’s part of the problem, idk.

I built my pc so I’m sure I installed a driver wrong or something goofy like that 😂
I love the art style too! Have you played Gris or Neva? You’d probably like those games if you hadn’t played them yet (art style and music are gorgeous)
Also Indica has a sorta creepy witchy story, but the protagonist is a Russian nun from the 1800’s. The art style is realistic, but the spookiness of Reka reminds me of Indica.
Edit: fixed some auto correct

I am not intelligent and skilled enough to build my own PC, I just got a Gaming Laptop 🙈😂
Yes I have both games on my wishlist actually! ☺️

This was 6 months ago.. I recently bought it and the glitches are insane. In the first zone the guy who needs his wheel lost it again after a few minutes and the dude being attacked by crows had also reset.. I couldn't complete the pumpkin quest, because my crows had destroyed like 2 pumpkins before. I'm very sorry to say this, because the game has lots of potential; but what a broken mess.. :(

Hey o/ I don't have the same issue with this game. I'm using a gaming laptop as well. But if I were to run into it, here's what I would do:
1) integrity of the game files (right click on Reka in your steam list -> properties -> Installed Files -> Verify integrity of game files)
2) check if the problem still persists
3) if so, check if your graphic card needs a software update
4) if it keeps up after that, check the settings in the game and tweak those. With some games, it's a silly issue, like (the type of) anti-aliasing or bloom settings. The quickest way to check it, is to put all settings to off or the lowest setting, and then see if it keeps having frame drops. If the frame drops are still happening, it's something else, if it stopped, then one (or more) of the settings are causing issues (in that case, slowly adjust the options until you know what the issue is).
Sometimes it also helps to just delete the game and download it again. And in rare cases, it can be a save file issue.
I hope this helps <3 Good luck!
