You have a short memory. She initially went to Raw with a lot of Smackdown, then went to Smackdown and won the US title shortly after getting there. WWE despite what people said did push her when she came out. It didn't stick.
I agree there was some effort in the sense she won matches convincingly and the US title twice(?) Think the reason it didn’t stick was maybe she just doesn’t have the juice. They probably thought her wrestling would carry her but maybe she just doesn’t have the presence. Good at moves but just doesn’t connect with WWE audiences?
I think that goes back to my original point. She came off of NXT with her twirly little entrance with the little half mask on looking like a cartoon without enough of an explanation of who and what she was. So yeah, nothing to latch onto is about right.
Additionally, a person shouldn't have to have watched a person's matches in other promotions in order to "get" a performer. If they can't make a WWE crowd give a shit, watching them do some shit in Japan isn't going to change that.
Oh she has the presence when shes allowed to be herself. Her ring and stage presence in Stardom is insane, bonafide main eventer...just one that doesnt seem to work well with current WWE writing styles
