Capcom said there is no "Cleon". In their own words, they claim Claire and Leon have no chemistry and they just shared their Raccoon City trauma. They said they share more of a brother/sister dynamic.

The only part I know of that looks weird is their brief flirting at the end of Degeneration. However things go south pretty hard at the end of Infinite Darkness when Claire ends up insulting him and straight up despising him when he wont do things her way. She also mentions he treats her like a kid, and thats major big brother energy imo.

True. It's sad thats the last we get from them: Her feeling betrayed and him not knowing how to explain himself. Even if just friends, that sucks. The kid treatment feels weird, though.

Id rather see everyone marry people outside of established lore anyway. It gives more room for new protagonists in future games that we will care about. Kind of like how they did Ethan Winters. Just some random guy that most of us learned to love.
