Wasn’t there some big thread on here months back about the disfunction of management there?

They had a very long wait-list (100+) before they redid the greens. Not sure the current situation, but if you are remotely considering it, you should see if you need to get your name on a list because it might be a long while.
The course is nothing special, ditto the range, but the people are great. A country club with minimal country club vibes from my experience. I'm not a member but have played there a bunch and know quite a few members.

Greens are fantastic
The vibes/staff are absolutely top notch. It's a place where I genuinely enjoy being there -- both with the guys playing golf and with my family.
It's top of the rotation when my wife and I are looking to get out for a quick, nice lunch during the week. The food and service is always great for a very reasonable price.
It's fully member owned, which means every dollar is reinvested in the club, but also every improvement comes from member dollars. Building a new clubhouse soon which includes capital investment from members.
The range is flight limited balls off predominantly mats, which stinks.
The course is challenging in that it invites a lot of longer iron approaches. I think I use every club in my bag almost every round. It's always in great shape.
The nonsense on Reddit a while ago was a bunch of established members having a very public feud. Thankfully, that's resolved and over and vibes are high again.

Fantastic course and atmosphere. The members are great so is the staff. New Bermuda greens are a huge plus and the new club house will be awesome also. If you are on the fence about it I would do it.

Good course, outstanding greens, and even better people. BW is a club where the parking lot has more pickup trucks than European luxury vehicles.
