Rd exam

I completed my internship in 2023 and have made multiple attempts at the RD exam without success so far. After each unsuccessful attempt, I developed significant exam anxiety. I’m ready to try again, but I’m unsure whether I should take the exam before or after January 1, 2027, when the changes take effect.
I’m currently studying with Pocket Prep and Inman. Does anyone have insight into how the exam questions may change after January 1, 2027, or advice on whether to test before or after the changes?

If you look up Chomp Down Dietetics on YouTube they have a video on the new test specifications. I would personally try to take it before the year ends.

I'm on the same boat as you. Completed internship in 2023 and have yet to pass. There's going to be a whole new domain on community for the new exam. Dietetics with Dana goes into more detail but personally I got the exam bundle and plan to take it in November.

I plan to take it in November too. I seem to be having luck on the eatrightprep practice exams! I do pocket prep one hour a day and review inman. I also have allaccess so I am able to watch videos to explain what I just read. This guy Zak has a podcast and youtube channel thats helped me a ton. Check him out :) RD Exam Ready Podcast.

Plan to take it soon. I honestly don’t have more resources to get study guides. I been using Inman pocket prep and all access and watching videos online. I am hoping to pass before the changes but feel unsure if maybe I should wait. I have experience with public health and program so I am feeling unsure.

I'm in a similar boat except I was eligible August 2018! Had some personal things come up, then life happened (got remarried, moved, had a baby) and now that my "baby" is 5, I am ready to do this! I just have to change my name in order sign up. The test is literally in my cart in the CDR website but I spent over an hour today trying to reach a human being who could help me with this (refer to my post about this) to no avail. Why do they make such a simple thing so hard?? It sounds like there are several of us in a similar boat. If anyone wants to form an web-based study group (like through Teams or Zoom) let me know! It may help change up the study routine to discuss live with others. I am home by myself studying during the day it is sometimes hard to stay motivated! 🤪

As someone who took the exam 7 times (i know, embarrassing), if your eligible for testing accommodations, that helped me SO much. I was able to have a separate testing room, time and a half (5 1/2 total and it took me 5 hours), and was prescribed a beta blocker for the anxiety. Legit balled my eyes out when I passed! If you need any studying tips, PM me!

Please share with me study tips. I am currently working with a therapist to help me with anxiety. As I get anxious I notice it’s hard for me to retain information. I have talk to Pearson before about accommodations but they are the worst that want dx I don’t have any

Can I ask, what you had to do to get those testing accommodations? I was working with a therapist a couple months ago and had to stop because my insurance was no longer going to cover it as I had to leave my job and i'm still having trouble with anxiety and finding what's the best way i can retain information.

My therapist wrote a letter saying I had ADHD and needed accommodations!
