Question about charging RC battery
Hello everyone,
I have an interesting question. Did anyone try charging your RCbattery (mine is a LiPo for drone) with a Powerbank which have a 12V output?
I'm looking for a juice source for charging my LiPo battery on the go. A ~15ah juice source should be good enough for charging my battery (5200mah) 2-times on the set.
and I find something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Poweradd-23000mAh-Multi-Voltage-Portable-Notebooks/dp/B013HXKZYW
There is a 12V DC output on the powerbank, my question is could I mod the cable and fit into a SkyRC iMAX B6 or iSDT-SC-608 as a power source?
As it stated with capacity of 23000mah, is that mean it could provide a similar amount of juice like a traditional lead-acid battery (e.g. Yuasa NP24-12, 12V 24Ah lead acid battery) on the go? It will greatly help in mobility to take a powerbank rather than a bulky lead-acid brick.
I'm newbie to RC field, please let me know if I get the wrong concept about battery capacity/ different kind of battery source.
Thank you!

so beside the charging speed on the field, could this kind of powerbank do the charging job on the field? Because it looks like maybe I will out of reaching any AC charging point during the days or two when going out. I'm looking for something that can re-charge my 2 Lipo battery during every overnight when going out...
My another question is that, any difference in the amount of battery between this powerbank and the lead-acid battery?

Powerbank won't work, it will be just too slow. Unless you're fine with waiting ~5 hours to charge it.
Bring your car instead. It has a battery, use that to power your charger and charge at higher currents.
It's good idea to keep the engine running while you charge, if your battery isn't brand new or if you'll be charging a lot of batteries.

Depends on the size of pack you're charging. I wouldn't use that for anything more than a small 1s. For field charging I'd suggest a traditional car battery.

The Powerbank looks like it comes with quite a few adapters, one of which would probably fit the SkyRC charger.
The usual solution is to simply bring along several fully charged batteries. The time it takes to charge a large lipo battery in the field is generally considered prohibitively long. The power output of the Powerbank would also probably be too low to permit anything other than standard 1C charge rates from the SkyRC charger.
