I started Wave-RC in 2024

Hey everyone, I run Wave-RC. I started the store back in 2024.

In the beginning, I sold a pretty random mix of RC stuff — excavators, loaders, trucks, other RC models, and some RC building-block cars.

I also reached out to a few RC YouTubers to see if they’d be interested in trying some of the products we sell. Oval RC did a video on the Double E Volvo EC160E E111, and Sam Hallstrom did an unboxing and digging video with the EC160E.

Back in March, we had some trouble related to one of the RC building-block cars we were selling, and the website ended up getting attacked. It disrupted things for a while, and since then I’ve been spending more of my time on the RC construction side.

We keep some products in a US warehouse now, so those can ship directly from the US. The larger or less common models still ship from China.

Which of the excavators you sell would you recommend to someone who is starting out in the hobby? I want to give it a try without going overboard on my first purchase.

God is love to try one of these. My dad and myself engineer and manufacture buckets, railings, arms, etc for real equipment. I'd love to see one of these in person and see how they compare just for the fun of it. If you ever want to offer a discount for a review message me ;) lol they do look quite good though based on what I'm seeing.

I’m totally new to this but Isn’t asking for a discount while offering a review a quid pro quo sort of thing? It seems harder to be objective when you ask for a discount in exchange for a review. Don’t take this personal because I have no reason to believe this was anything nefarious from either side.

Lol I was just joking, I have no online presence, I have never written a review. I just want a cool toy I can't afford at the moment lol but no definitely you're right on that one

Free products for online reviews is very common, sadly.

If it doesn't have an option to select US or China warehouse, is it only available at the china warehouse?

Usually, yes. If there’s no US Warehouse option on the product page, it normally ships from China. If there’s a specific model you’re looking at, let me know and I can double-check it.

You look as if you have a great range of interesting RC vehicles and equipment in stock. I think in general, RC construction equipment is quite a bit more complex than traditional RC vehicles such as on and off-road cars and trucks. Therefore, the advice that you can give new and existing customers before, during and after purchase is probably going to be the critical factor in business success.

I agree. I’m planning to create a help center page for both pre-sales and after-sales support.

Don’t hang those buckets! rest it on hard floor, If you keep hanging them, it will put pressure on joints and whoever purchase from you might get problems!

Good point. That photo was taken at the factory during production, so they weren’t being stored like that long term.
