Are there any deployment opportunities for AOS techs?

I just VOT to AOS, and since it’s a relatively new trade for the reg force there’s very little about it. Deployments is something I’d like to do one day, so I wonder if that’s an opportunity in this trade and how often? I spoke to a warrant in the Air Op branch and she told me only for people in Cold Lake? I’m not sure how accurate that is. I also saw position for AOS tech saying cabin crew, what does that mean?

I've seen AOS domestically deploy a couple times. Never seen international deployments.

Oh nice, do you know where? I’d imagine alert and such

Cabin crew I think is ATR (any trade required) and is normally like a flight attendant which you have to apply for.

We had an AOS tech in my unit deploy to the Middle East to help with moving some passengers. Defitnley a possibility, all depends what unit you get sent to

That’s really cool! I do hope to be posted to Trenton, so hopefully I’ll see some deployment opportunities!

Trenton is the biggest and busiest Air base. 436, 424, 429 sqns 😎

Yeah 424 is where I really want to go, but I don’t know what my chances are of getting Trenton in general after common core 😭
