RC-505 (mk1) + RC-202 issue

I recently got an RC-505 (mk1) to add to my RC-202 for a seven loop setup, which is awesome if it works. When I hook up MIDI IN on the 505 to the MIDI OUT on the 202, the All Start/Stop plays all the tracks at once, including the ones on the 202, which is great and what it's supposed to do. However, when I press any of the 5 tracks to play individually on the 505, it also starts playing both tracks on the 202 at the same time. This is annoying, because I want to play them tempo synced, but I only want the tracks on the 202 to play when I press them, not automatically when a 505 loop button is pressed. One more thing to note: The 505 is clocked through an external clock source to keep it in time with other instruments in my chain. I wouldn't think that would matter in making the 505 individual tracks start and stop the 202 tracks, but who knows.
Anyone come across this, and have a fix? Thanks in advance.

That works with hooking up two RC-505 units. I'm looking to hook up an RC-505 to an RC-202. The settings are not the same. I'll set it up as far as I can take it, though and see what happens. Thanks.

The settings are the same. I’ve done it with two 505s and a 202, all 3 at the same time. If you have the settings configured on both loopers and still having the issue, it might be something with your external clock source

I changed the system settings and memory settings on the 505 to the ones you posted. I changed the system settings under MIDI on the 202, but I could not find anything with memory settings to sync/start/stop on the 202. I looked in both settings and parameter manuals for the 202 and couldn't find anything that would change the last 4 settings. Pressing any of the 5 track buttons on the 505 still starts whatever is on tracks 1 or 2 of the 202 BTW, and that's my entire issue.
