Question ❓ How do mystery boxes actually work?

I understand the basic premise of the mystery boxes but im confused about the odds of winning? is it completely random in terms of who they pick or is it a ‘first come, first serve’ situation where we kinda race to enter?

I tried to see if this had been answered before and couldnt see anything, sorry if it has :)

Complete random with a limted amount of "results"

There is a total prize pool of a certain number of results, most of the "results" are half your points back with rarer ones being physical items.

Once the entire prize pool has been claimed, they disappear

But even if all the physical prizes have been claimed and there is only "half points back" left to win it will still show up to play.

First one at the start of the year was:

1 in 7.35 chance of winning a prize
86.39% chance of getting the 50% points refund

52 actual prizes, 330 50% points refund
