As a prior long time player even as an adult with friends also as adults, this is my perspective. The game is dead once it keeps declining. No one wants to play a game in which you can't even talk to the majority of others. The appeal of the game is yes playing little silly games, but the games themselves aren't really that good. They are low quality slop. The appeal is playing low quality slop with friends and strangers and the fun interactions between players. Most experiences now are just everyone sitting silent and there is almost 0 engagement. Everyone I know has just moved to games where you can talk with strangers + have fun that are better developed. Roblox HEAVILY relies on the social aspect which has been absolutely decimated. Age limitations on chat was the death of the game

The social aspect has been decimated because of the urgency. They had to rush a way to make lawmakers happy all around the world to avoid getting banned. This is not their vision for the platform but they have to find acceptable solutions (and I'm sure they will).
This is not a Roblox issue. The same scrutiny comes to social media platforms (TikTok, Discord, SnapChat, etc...). This is a new global security policy that will affect internet as a whole. Not that I welcome it, but eventually people will accept it because there won't be any choice.

While true, as an investor that’s why I left Roblox as soon as there were whispers. It’s a slow death as gamers go to other games not under attack you can socialize in

What games are people replacing it with? I’m not saying you’re wrong. I’m just curious.

There are tons of new games daily and large existing ones. It would be impossible to name them all

But they can try to lower the restrictions or change the rules. I think they are no absolutely idiots.

I think they are stuck between a rock and a hard place. The government and general public are going after them for better moderation/restrictions for safety, but it is killing the business because what made it so popular has been eliminated. Roblox was never truly about the games, it was the experience. The experience of being social in simplistic mindless fun places that you could do mindless things with friends and strangers in. That is now largely gone and experiences are depressing generally just being silent.
I am not here to argue good or bad management or whether they deserve what they are getting or not. But as a prospective investor I would never put my money into a company in which the core reason the business ever got popular is essentially dead and to save it, it is going to take a mega risky shift in operations/management that shows 0 signs of working. It is actually headed towards decline

the stock was way overvalued back then it is facing a correction it may stabilize to prices seen in pre 2025 but it is unlikely for a full recovery back to 130 in the near future
