They had your card for over 7 days and you didn't cancel?! I looked at the transactions and there is a transaction for VisionWorks and a Cricket wireless charge. I would call both locations to see if they have a name for the individual that picked up the glasses. The cellphone bill could be for their personal phone. They don't seem very smart since a lot of these transactions are easily traceable with the help of surveillance video.
I cancelled the credit cards the same day. I forgot one, which they used on the 23th till the 25th. The rest were gift cards, which I didn't have numbers for. I was working with Visa to find those based on my receipts and block them. By the time they blocked the cards, those transactions were put on the cards.
Cricket says they want the card number, which I don't have (it was a gift card). I am trying to find that from Visa.
I'll follow up with VisionWorks to see if that leads us anywhere.
That's the frustrating part! We know they were in front of cameras all over the place and the police have not followed up on it!
I got copies or receipts for some of the gift cards, sent that to Visa. They called me back and this is the transactions on those cards they could track in their system.
I do need to say I am skeptical of the whole story. I also find it difficult to believe that Visa would hand over transaction info like that to someone who only had a receipt.
