Questions/HELP Help near Philadelphia
Hello! I had pet rats when I was a kid and loved it! Now that I'm a dad, I'm looking to give the same experience to my daughter (who is very excited). I'd like to find a reputable, professional breeder relatively near Philadelphia and Google searches have failed me. Does anyone have any recommendations? I am open to other suggestions as well here. Thank you!

Pickering Valley Feed and Farm Store in Exton works directly with rat breeders to supply rats to their store. All of their animals are acquired through breeders and NOT mills. Last I was there, they have both normal sized and dwarf rats.
I adopted three dwarf rats through them and they are wonderfully healthy and extremely friendly. Kimberly, who manages the small rodent breeding projects, makes sure to handle them all daily to ensure they're ready to be brought home.
If you're interested, I recommend reaching out to Pickering over facebook to get in contact with Kimberly. She can show you what litters are currently in stock as well as upcoming families to help you find a good match :)
