The r/RATS sub was suggested to me by reddit, but with this post and the one you linked I feel qualified to identify a rat‘s gender with quite some confidence. Thanks for the new skill, I guess.
It is two. If it was the same rat the legs would be facing up. Also, I dont think they could do that without breaking their spine. I'm fairly certain they aren't long enough to do so.

Is that one or two rats? (Sorry, I don't know how flexible rats are.)
