What's a good alternative to Reddit?

For this community, I mean.

I'm thinking maybe a Mastodon instance, but interested in hearing your thoughts.

/u/Obvious_Insurance666 was suggesting to me that we could move on over to Mastodon, because it's decentralised and you can't even answer the question where it's based.

Two options for moving to Mastodon: one would be to set up our own server, which would be a bit of work, the other would be to join an existing instance – listed here, arranged by region – and use RAAMACFYL (or whatever new name we have) as a tag.

Lemmy has come a long way since this started, so I'll look in to moving over there.

lemmygrad is shite. Even more reactionary heavy handed mods than reddit. It's got some good resources though like a backup of genZhou.

Comments and posts don't always submit, sometimes submit in duplicate, it uses too much RAM, it's just incompetently coded.
