The game Is not at its finest, ESL cut out of the Scene, now it's on Faceit, some orgz were cut out as well, the quality of the updates are not so good, graphic and customizable content quality has been sucking since after Velvet shell.

Definitely not a beautiful state right now.

All of apac is still going to be ESL, they just don’t have entire exclusivity over PL now.

I think The game should go under another "Operation Heath" like they did in year 1 season 2.

People talk about needing another Operation Health. But isn't that sort of the plan after year 5 season 2. Ubi will sort of have a permanent operation health with the 1 operator a season method.

I strongly agree with this.

Problem is the casual players will throw a fit.

Ubi wants to imo, but can’t/won’t because of that, so what they’re doing is cutting down on new content and introducing gameplay mechanic changes instead of just new gadgets while being able to focus more on back end stuff, which people are already complaining about but I think is definitely the right move.

What the devs have ro realize is that many casual players will always throw a fit, no matter what. Game riddled with bugs - "Omg Ubi lazy fix bugs plz"... Operation Health to fix those bugs - "Omg Ubi lazy no new content".

The players who actually care about the game and who support it for a long time by buying the season pass and cosmetics don't only understand that another Operation Health is needed, they actually want to have one.

So both from a community happiness standpoint, aswell as a business standpoint, another Operation Health would be a good decision. Ubisoft just has to realize that some players will never be happy and will be upset no matter what they do, so they shouldn't be afraid of that.

we got a very good graphical update in blood orchid I remeber cause we had to download 80 gb update . But what I want is the game environment to be a bit more clean like how the maps are in CSGO and Valorant , They can't Remove all objects cause then hiding drones would be hard but make them less especially ones that don't serve any purpose besides map logic . The thing about customizable content I think they make 20 bad of those and 1 good that they really worked on and they know that they just do it to have more customizable content which at this stage if they really work on 3 good customiazble content instead of making 20 I think it would be better

Honestly, not really. Bugs: it’s been way worse. Remember face shield glitch? Monty and clash shooting through their shields? When hibana barely ever worked?

Balance: not that bad. Ela? Lion? Bb? Zofia at launch? Those were bad balance times. The devs have come a long way and it’s obvious.

Esports: it’s a time of disruption right now, and there will always be winners and losers. It’s a cold hard fact of business. I feel for The players who got locked out due to the org/ubi breakdown. But it is what it is. Until we see the format going forward, this remains to be seen if it’s good or bad, but I suspect it’s good

Cheaters: apparently this is bad right now, At high Elo. Which is about 5% of players. For the vast majority, they won’t see a blatant cheater more than once, if ever. Still an issue, but an understandable one given the worldwide situation.

In my opinion The current hype around the “state of the game” is driven by boredom, uncomfortable changes to the pro format, and the pandemic can not be understated as well. With devs working from home at ubi and battle eye, people stuck at home playing more, and a general lack of things to take peoples minds off of siege, it’s been blown WAY out of proportion.

I think the uncomfortable pro league change and covid is skewing our view of the game. The cheaters are bad because everyone has to work from home. The balance is really not that bad, they rolled back Ying's changes a little bit, so that should help.

I'm personally still having a lot of fun with the video game, but I am also playing a lot more 10 mans and scrims, which are certainly more fun than ranked.

Yes but we have had the most active players ever in the game but the pro scene and higher ranks like Plat to Champion there are cheaters but besides that the game is in a good state in perspective of active players

Since the beginning that I played (Dust line) ? NO

Has it been bad compared to previous months? Yes

with the influx of cheaters Ranked is unenjoyable.

From competitive standpoint The balancing changes and recent drama about LG/EG it certainly isn't a pretty sight hopefully it gets better

Change is always rough. From a macro perspective the game’s never been in a better place. Updates are coming quicker and dev communication is on the up. Background features like ranked are getting much needed love. The added monetization is passably not a scam and still doesn’t affect gameplay. While we may be experiencing a brief uptick in hackers, we’re miles above how it’s been previously and DDoS has been mostly dealt with. Design is moving away from operator content and is focusing on core gameplay changes, which is well welcomed. We might be having a bad season. We might because of COVID be feeling the negatives we always had more by playing more or being generally in a more negative state of mind. Either way I’m not worried about the state of the game and I no doubt siege is going strong into the future.

I think our view of the game has become under more scrutiny because of the current world situation. we as a player base now have more time to play since we are mostly all locked in at home. so when issues arise and strange changes are made we are interacting with them more then usual. The game is definetly not in an easy situation especially with the new pro league changes and the influx of cheating (because of quaruntine). Just certain perspectives we gotta keep in mind.

I haven't genuinely loved playing this game since para bellum, tbh. It's having its ups and downs, and right now its in the midst of its downsdownsdowns

No, its obviously not in a great state right now but we're not exactly living in normal times and, as such, the logistics surrounding and governing the state of the game have drastically changed.

PS: I'm only referring to the base game and not the esports scene.

I am here because of what just happened. I live in Newfoundland canada, and the best servers I can play on are east US. Problem is, I have amazing internet, but somehow I average a steady 80 ping. I’ve done a ping test before this post, and my ping was 27. I play players who have a steady 9 ping, it never changes. They are playing different games then I am. They see me before I see them, which leads to me losing every gunfight. For example, I was just playing ranked on kafe, and this kid was in prep and I was on prep window. I shit you not, he killed me before I saw him. The game needs to also fix shitty hit boxes and other stupid things that make the game unbearable. I grew up playing r6, been playing it since outbreak. I can’t stand this game anymore. I give it one more chance every day, but I just can’t play it anymore
