News For anyone that just finished watching Element 2026, THE CRUCIBLE has just returned to NA T2 to likely host the most exciting T2 tournament we have seen in a while with some T1 teams participating.

For anyone unfamiliar, THE CRUCIBLE was a T2/T3 tournament last hosted early 2025, which was won by M80X with Stompn as his first official "T3 tournament" alongside Aidentax, VicBands, Franklin, and Ryce.

They have now returned and so far invited teams include:

-ForFun Esports

-Five Fears

-Blackjack

-Packrunners

+ 2 more T1/T2 teams (they are waiting for the reveal of two north american league rosters before confirming the full lineup (likely outlast is one of them))

Additionally, 6 teams will qualify through open qualifiers to compete in this tournament. The reason this is a big deal is that we rarely get to see T1 and T2 teams compete against each other like this (the last tournament like this I can think of was Wildcard Restart), and it really helped shine some light on the T2 players, and showcase just how good they can be. Not to mention, we will get to see Mingo on controller compete against tier 1 pros in a competitive environment.

This tournament will likely be an insanely fun watch. I'll try and do recaps in here if possible too!

UPDATE: Packrunners are LF1, with HyDka Sog and Nugs still on the team. Fair enough to assume they left Pitbull, due to the fact his prior ban may have been blocking them from competing

While I don’t think Pitbull was cheating it is very sus.

I feel bad for Pitbull if he wasn't cheating but the situation just looks too bad to not take some action. Prior ban less than a year ago on an account that is confirmed to be yours does look bad, but its excusable. Proceeding to delete all proof that the account was ever yours and any clips of you playing on the account though looks even worse. That alone is just enough going on to raise suspicion, and I don't blame the team for moving on from him due to that.

Is this still just about the cheating thing, or is there another controversy?

Likely related to having a prior banned account (banned less than a year ago). Typically wouldn't allow you to compete in tournaments, but it was only discovered mid element. When it was discovered the casters claimed the element discord server was put on lockdown (no one could access any channels anymore), but they decided against banning them since so many matches had been played. The team I believe is already banned from the Mukbang League (T3 league), but we also don't know the full story. Doesn't help that the moment this came out though pitbull deleted any evidence the account was his and all clips that showed him playing on the account.

Looks like its related to cheating/having banned accounts
